I love Holiday Inn Express. This was the first time I stayed at this particular location. Like all of them it was very clean, nice rooms, super comfy beds.
This location the staff was very, very nice. My only issue was my bathroom sink in room 809 didn’t drain very well. I was only there for the night so not a huge issue but just washing my face before bed and in the morning it filled up very quickly and then took quite a while to drain. Also the Keurig coffee machine in my room didn’t work. I filled it and put the K cup in. It turned on and the light saying it was brewing turned on but nothing happened. I tried twice. I had to catch the shuttle to the airport so I didn’t have time to figure out what was wrong.
Another nice thing was our shuttle driver at 4am saw that the train terminal at the Newark airport had a number of homeless people inside which he felt might be unsafe. Therefore, he decided to drive us directly to our terminals so he could ensure we were all safe. That was nice and very responsible and I really appreciated that he went that extra mile.
