The Moderne Hotel on 55th St. is perfectly located. It's a small hotel, but the room was big and quiet. The shower was wonderful too. Breakfast scones and pastries were delicious but be early, its' while supplies last. I would definitely stay here again. So easy to get to museums and Central Park from here. Highly recommend.

Everything was top notch! Front desk staff (all). Doormen (all). Lounge was a nice touch. Morning coffee and pastries. Parking next door super convenient (attendants even let us keep bags in car to retrieve later- car elevator not self parking). Everyone super friendly. Complimentary wine happy hr. Perfect location!

Fantastic stay and perfect location, but a rock-hard bed The location of this hotel is absolutely perfect for exploring NYC, and the overall experience was fantastic. The property is modern, clean, and everything else about the stay was top-notch. However, I cannot stress enough how terribly hard the bed was. It truly felt like sleeping on a slab of concrete. If you prefer an exceptionally firm mattress, you will be fine, but for me, it was the only major downside to an outstanding hotel!

Location was absolutely perfect! The decor was bright and added lots of personality. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The pillows were so soft! I slept peacefully. The only downside was the mattress. I don’t know if the budget ran out, but they should put some mattress toppers on there to add a little fluff.

Decent hotel. Most rooms are a decent size for New York but the hotel is a bit tired looking. I haven't stayed here in 2-3 years and it has not been kept up. The room I was in had a window AC. It was loud and I didn't see one ounce of daylight in the room.

The hotel is clean and in a great location. I would definitely stay here again. The only detail I was disappointed in was the breakfast. It was only pastries and coffee from a single serve machine.
