i’ve been staying at the hotel the last 7-8 years, 2-4 times a year whenever i visit NYC. This time everything changed for the worst, from the front desk who is not really nice, the general manager. we asked the lday who checked us in if she knew our room is the corner room. She said she didn’t have chance to look at all the rooms so she doesn’t know if its the corner room? Excuse me. I thought those should be basic knowledge of the front desk. They don't even let us sit at the lobby any more. They said it's becuase of Covid. CDC already had the mask mandate lift up. NYC is already open up. We also saw a customer who came in and asked if she could check in. At that time it is 2pm and the check in time is 3pm, they still don’t let her check in and wanted to charge for early check in.
The gym is also close.
Then when we check in the room, the lighting, why on earth you install sensor light bulb in the main lighting. It came on everytime any person goes to the bathroom at night and wake up other poeple in the room in the middle of night.
We stayed 4 nights, the second night we have to get the room service to clean our room because it was late. The last two nights we stayed there, our room was not clean at all. We went and asked, they said they didn’t have enough staffs. No toiletries, no fresh towels, no toilet paper. We had to go get them every single day we stay there.
This will be my last stay with this hotel. I am so disappointed
