Row NYC, where service and character are void
I had the most disrespectful treatment and atrocious experience with this "Row NYC" Hotel.
Aside from: Broken fixture shower and faucet flashing against the walls, Multiple chipped lacquer paint spots on the desks and drawers, The door to the bathroom damaged as if it was pried open with a crowbar,
One of two power sockets working on the night stand, The treadmill screens broken in the fitness center.
Check out morning, I and 7 other guests had to walk down 15 flights of stairs. Because their screwed up elevator system only allows you to take a specific elevator from each floor rather than the first available. After we got to the guest check in/out desk I tried to speak to a woman about it and all she would reply was “It’s really busy so that’s what happens” Note this was a Wednesday check out, not a weekend. After she said that, she didn’t give any eye contact to us. We were running late to the market so we had to leave.
We carried our luggage to the front, the doorman (same doorman that ignored us the prior day as we had 3 large totes to carry to the curb) attempted to jump in and hail a cab for us after we already had one coming to get a tip. We said “we’ve got it, we just had to walk down 18 flights of stairs”. He replied very sarcastically “well you’re on your own then” and walked away. At that point I said “you were here yesterday and didn’t help us with our big totes" he said "well you get what you pay for here" then just repeated "bye bye" and mockingly waved.
