Great location. Theater district and time square.

Posted 28-Aug-2016
Pros: Close to everything! Perfect location.
Cons: Room furniture: Have An actual dresser. Hangers: I only had three. A small refrigerator would be great.
Location: See plays. Time square. GMA. Walking distance to points of interest like Rockefeller center.
Wonderful. Loved NYC. The best way to see the city is with the City Tour Bus. You can get off on the stops your interested in, like a museum, and get on the bus again and continue the tour.

Very convenient located

Posted 26-Aug-2016
We stayed 5 nights in Rm 956 in late August. Room is very clean, adequate size for 2 adults and a 10-yr-old kid. There's no fridge nor coffee maker in the room, but there's a safe. Lots of power outlets to charge all our electronics. Free wifi reception is good. Air conditioning unit is very loud, so is the toilet when flushed. Otherwise the room (facing 8th Ave) is quiet. Lots of food choices inside City Kitchen which is accessible from inside the hotel. The nearest metro subway stations are 42nd street - Port Authority, and 42 Street Times Square, which are about 2.5 - 3 blocks away. Just a very short away from many theatres.

Pros: Location
Cons: At busy times elevators were hard to come by.
Location: Great location. Everything at the doorstep. Restaurant's, theatres, attractions, subway.
Loved the location-close to theatres, subway, Times Square and walkable to Central Park.

Row NYC, where service and character are void

Posted 26-Aug-2016
Pros: The proximity to the City Kitchen
Cons: Customer service, cleanliness, "cool factor", the stupid Elevator process,
Location: I was there for a business show, didn't do things nearby this trip
I had the most disrespectful treatment and atrocious experience with this "Row NYC" Hotel. Aside from: Broken fixture shower and faucet flashing against the walls, Multiple chipped lacquer paint spots on the desks and drawers, The door to the bathroom damaged as if it was pried open with a crowbar, One of two power sockets working on the night stand, The treadmill screens broken in the fitness center. Check out morning, I and 7 other guests had to walk down 15 flights of stairs. Because their screwed up elevator system only allows you to take a specific elevator from each floor rather than the first available. After we got to the guest check in/out desk I tried to speak to a woman about it and all she would reply was “It’s really busy so that’s what happens” Note this was a Wednesday check out, not a weekend. After she said that, she didn’t give any eye contact to us. We were running late to the market so we had to leave. We carried our luggage to the front, the doorman (same doorman that ignored us the prior day as we had 3 large totes to carry to the curb) attempted to jump in and hail a cab for us after we already had one coming to get a tip. We said “we’ve got it, we just had to walk down 18 flights of stairs”. He replied very sarcastically “well you’re on your own then” and walked away. At that point I said “you were here yesterday and didn’t help us with our big totes" he said "well you get what you pay for here" then just repeated "bye bye" and mockingly waved.

Close to Times Square.

Posted 24-Aug-2016
Pulled right up to the hotel which was only a block away from the heart of Times Square. Overall it was pretty nice, but there is one thing that will keep me from ever coming back to this hotel... THE ELEVATORS. There are 8 elevators in the lobby, but only 3 of them seemed to go to our floor. They were not large elevators so when everyone fills in waiting for one elevator there's a lot of time waiting for the next one to come back down. In that same time there continue to be more people cramming into the elevator area waiting to get on the same elevator. We waited a solid 20 minutes to get on an elevator that would take us to our floor. It became such a hassle each time we got back to the hotel.
