"Everything was clean, and staff was mostly helpful. It's an old building, so it's basic. But it is excellently located and an easy way to be in the heart of NYC without stress or paying exorbitant amounts. "
"Room was clean but furniture was old. Wallpaper peeling in places, shower handle fell off…tub drained slow when showering( yes it was open). View was not as promised and we paid extra!! Beds were comfortable and location was good. "
"This was an awesome birthday experience. As soon as we arrived at the hotel, the young gentleman at the front , Chris, was such a great help. All of the hotel staff that I encounter were extremely polite. I loved the check in goodies (free water, popcorn, and warm cookies). The view from my room on the 44th floor was gorgeous (looking over a body of water. Great proximity to we’ll know NY landmarks. I couldn’t have asked for a better hotel experience."
"We chose this hotel for its location and it didn't disappoint in that respect. Perfectly walkable to all the theaters and Times Square. Close to the subway and great restaurants. The staff were helpful but busy--it was very hard to talk to someone without waiting a while at the reception desk. I ended up just calling the front desk.
I was traveling with my aunt who is elderly and the elevators were so packed in the morning with no instructions for what to do if you have accessibility needs. She ended up walking down 10 flights so we could get to breakfast. Speaking of which, breakfast was very crowded with no rhyme or reason to it--no place to line up so everyone is just everywhere. Again, it was hard to find someone when you had a question about breakfast foods or allergens.
There is no parking, so we parked a couple of blocks away and walked.
I would recommend this hotel overall with those caveats."
"Cool hotel. Great design. Better than other Lower Eastside hotels (Standard, Sixty LES) by a long shot for similar rates. Awesome public areas with people hanging out, chatting, laptopping, including a great outdoor garden space."
"The location was great. It was close to everything. However, it can get crowded. The room was outdated and felt like a 2.5 star hotel. The staff was not friendly. The wait times were long, but this is New York so that wasn't entirely unexpected"
"I love the property, it was very beautiful and clean. The Resturant was amazing, rooms updated and nice and location amazing. Would definitely stay again. The only thing I didn’t like was the mandatory $35.00 per person entertainment fee. I feel it’s something you should know upfront not when you get there.
