Great for the price!
I had read a lot of mixed reviews before I went, but I took it with a grain of salt and I'm glad I did.
Super great location, you can walk to most things, liquor stores, pharmacies and pubs on either sides of the hotel, modern and the room was very clean. I was surprised there was a kitchenette in the room and full size fridge which was cool, but we didn't really have a need for it. I'm sure if you have kids that would be a great feature. staff were helpful and pleasant. I had seen a review complaining about the location which my husband and I felt was ludicrous. We always felt safe and pleasantly surprised how close we were to taxi stands, subways and pretty much everything in general. $15 can ride to Central Park, $19 to 9/11 memorial or Statue of Liberty. Our room had a view of the Empire state
Don't judge a book by its cover. When we first got there the lobby was a mad house prior to check-in time, we were hours early and dropping off our bags. The lobby was messy with trash on the floor and the lobby seat cushions were flat from obviously being really used. The elevators are an issue during rush hour time frames, we were on vacation and only ran into this a few times. For what ever reason they take forever and often only 2 out of the 3 are running. If you plan for it when you have somewhere to be at a certain time then not really that big of an issue, more annoying than anything else to watch the elevator fly past your floor multiple times and not stopping
