"Great location, fantastic staff, and excellent breakfast
We had a very good stay at the Hampton Inn New York Times Square. The location is excellent for getting around the city.
The room was generally very clean and comfortable, though on the smaller side, which is expected in New York. One drawback was the temperature. The thermostat’s lowest setting is controlled by the hotel, and with the smaller room size, heat tends to get trapped, making it feel warmer than ideal.
While most areas were well maintained, I did notice some dust on a few shelves, which could use a bit more attention.
Where this hotel really shines is the staff. From check-in to check-out, everyone was friendly, courteous, and consistently welcoming. The front desk team was especially great.
A major highlight is the breakfast and the breakfast crew, who were absolutely fantastic. The included breakfast was excellent each day, with a wide variety of options. The yogurt machine and toppings bar with dry fruits and add-ons were a standout. The breakfast team was attentive, hardworking, and provided a great experience.
Housekeeping was also very good. Even w/ every 2-day service, any requests or needs were handled promptly and efficiently.
We also visited the Interlude bar. The wait staff were friendly, and attentive, though one individual could improve on overall hospitality. It’s also worth noting that the rooftop bar is not owned by the hotel.
Overall, I would definitely stay here again. "
