Lakefront Cedar Cove Cottage on Norris Lake

Listing Description:
Lakefront cottage with year-round water in a quiet no-wake cove right behind Cedar Grove Marina in Cape Norris. Three bedrooms plus two twins in the living room sleep 9, with 2 full baths, all on one level, and a big back deck over the water with outdoor dining, a propane grill and a fire pit. Private dock with a swim ladder and a boat slip, and your trailer can stay on site. Wi-Fi and Samsung Smart TVs, about 15 minutes from Boathouse at 33 and Jimmy's Place.

The Space:
THE COTTAGE
Everything is on one level: living room, dining room with a large kitchen table, laundry room, three bedrooms (a full with a twin, a queen, and a king), two twin beds in the living room, and two full baths. The kitchen has both a standard coffee maker and a Keurig, dishwasher, large fridge, over-the-range microwave, toaster and blender. There is no full stove or oven; instead you get a countertop electric burner and a countertop convection oven for baking. Samsung Smart TVs throughout (sign in to your own streaming apps; there is no cable), Wi-Fi and a hair dryer.

OUTDOORS
A large back deck over the water with outdoor dining and a lake view through the trees, a 3-burner propane grill (we supply the propane) and a small fire pit (bring your own firewood).

GETTING TO THE WATER
Stairs lead from the back deck down to the dock; you can also go out the side sliding doors and take the steps down. The number of steps changes with the lake level.

DOCK & WATER
Private dock with a swim ladder and one slip for your boat (no jet ski port); the owners' pontoon may be tied to the outside of the dock. The dock has no power. The cottage sits in a quiet no-wake cove right behind Cedar Grove Marina, so there is very little boat traffic at the dock. Year-round water; like most of Norris Lake, TVA lowers the lake in fall and raises it in spring, so levels change through the year.

BOATS & TRAILERS
Cedar Grove Marina, just around the corner, is the closest place to launch, fuel up or rent a boat, and your trailer can stay at the cottage. The road in is narrow and curvy in places, so take it slowly when towing.

TUBES & LILY PADS
Two-person tubes ($60 per day) and 15 x 6 ft floating lily pads ($40 per day) can be added to any stay. Reserve a week ahead and they will be at the cottage when you arrive. We don't deliver pontoon rentals to this cottage; Cedar Grove Marina, around the corner, rents boats.

Guest Access:
The whole cottage is yours. Up to 3 cars, and your boat trailer can stay at the house. One slip at the dock is yours.

Other Things to Note:
-Check-in 4 PM, check-out 10 AM. Early check-in from 1 PM is sometimes possible when the cleaning schedule allows; ask and we will try.
-You must be 25 to book.
-Included: all linens, bath towels, pots, pans, utensils and baking sheets, plus a starter supply of dish soap, dishwasher pods, paper towels, one roll of toilet paper per bathroom and trash bags. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash are provided. Bring extra paper products and trash bags, detergent, and beach towels for the lake.
-No pets. No parties or events. No smoking inside; outside with the doors shut is fine. Quiet hours 10 PM to 8 AM.
-Outdoor security cameras cover the entry doors; there are no cameras inside.
-Nearest grocery store is Ingles, about 15 minutes away.
-Month-to-month stays are available in the off season; message us.
-No refunds for weather or lake levels.
