Surrounded by the Mohonk Preserve, this peaceful escape is an idyllic place to reconnect with the natural world. Enjoy the floor to ceiling stone fireplace, or step onto the deck and take in the views. Unwind in the hot tub and terraced garden, or relax along the quiet shore. Leave your troubles behind, and escape to a world of elegant serenity. This quiet country road just outside of New Paltz is the perfect place to relax in seclusion. The lake is only accessible by a select few homes along the shoreline, with no sound but lapping waves and wind in the trees. Make sure to keep an eye out for soaring eagles overhead, who've made their home along the ridge. During winter months, snow and ice can make navigating this driveway difficult. We strongly recommend booking only if your vehicle has AWD/4WD and winter tires for safe access. While our plow service clears the driveway after snowfall, they also service multiple properties in the area, which may cause delays. Please plan accordingly. Recently renovated, this modern home strikes the perfect balance of chic minimalism and natural beauty. Throughout the property, skylights and serene lake views create a bright and tranquil atmosphere. The expansive deck is perfect for unwinding, complete with outdoor dining and lounge seating, or the private balcony off the primary suite awaits for a moment of serenity. Spanning four thoughtfully designed levels—with dual living areas, a chef’s kitchen, and separate dining room—this home offers both room to retreat and space to gather. This home does not allow pets - there will be an additional cleaning fee should our housekeeping team report evidence that a pet was present. Please note, this property does have exterior cameras for safety and security. These are only located on the exterior of the property, never the interior, and will not be monitored during your stay unless an issue arises. To use the boats, please contact our Guest Support team. They will be happy to provide the code to the oar box for your enjoyment. Please be aware that this is a natural lake, there will be vegetation and plant-life along the shoreline. Some closets or drawers in the home are kept locked for private storage, there is still plenty of space for your things! Please be advised that every 30 minutes spent on the property past 11am check out time a $50 fee will be initiated and charged to the card on file used to book the listing. This home was absolutely beautiful! The views of the mountain and lake, especially with all the fall foliage was breathtaking! The house was really large and spacious especially for a big group. Also, the listing says 4 bedrooms but it actually has 5 bedrooms which was a nice surprise! We really enjoyed all the bright natural light from the windows and the home felt really peaceful and relaxing. The hot tub was also a great perk. Outdoor dining table & chairs not useable because in need of power washing & chair backs unstable.Poison Ivy along paths where people walk (yes, one adult got it; very unpleasant) No credit given us for these issues…but we did get denial.First day we weren’t given code for oar box so couldn’t go on lake.
