The cabin was simple, clean, and cozy. A great place to slow down, and enjoy a simpler lifestyle with a beautiful view of the lake. We hope to return during the summer when we can enjoy the lake fully.
It’s a small and comfortable cottage on one of the nicest lakes in the state. If that’s what you’re after, don’t hesitate. The host are great. We’ll definitely go back.
The cabin was just what we needed to escape the hustle and bustle of work!! Just the right size to sit and relax by the water and enjoy an early morning or late evening canoe ride while the Eagle flew above us.
Perfect spot for day hikes or day drinking at the wineries. Then enjoy a bonfire with a glass of wine and talk about all you did and what you want to do the next day!!
Definitely recommend and will be back
Loved it, all of it. Taking coffee on deck overlooking the beautiful lake. Good fishing. I would recommend a few more spices, some trash bags and quart size baggies. Overall 5 stars. Im thinking of mabey booking another stay before summer ends..
Accommodations good for Up to the 3 that rotated Total of 7 competed.Dock was perfect for the 3 kayaks and one 12 ft Al boat.Food prep was easy for Poppa [89] Cool mornings but the portable heaters took the chill off. weather was good couple windy 4 fish caught. Going to have to try again.
I took my parents to the cottage as a 60th anniversary present. They met on the lake 65 years ago. We had a wonderful time time reminiscing about time spent on the lake. Eric was easy to reach and getting into the cottage was simple. Everything was clean and neat, and the kitchen was well stocked with pans, dishes, and other basic supplies. There were outdoor amenities, such as a fire pit and a canoe we did not get to use due to the weather. Would love to come back here again sometime.
Our family had a great long weekend at the cabin. Everything was just as advertised and clean and functional. We spent the days on the dock jumping in the pond for some swimming or else paddling around in the canoe. All in all a very relaxing stay. Thanks Eric for the hospitality!
Very clean quaint cottage with a beautiful view of the lake. Be advised that you’ll need to bring all cooking things like salt, oil etc. And that the outdoor shower is the ONLY shower. (It is right near the front door) but if you know these things in advance you can plan for it. A truly relaxing long weekend
Cute vintage cottage right on the water with great views from the house/deck and fantastic large dock for hanging out and longer dock off to the side- perfect for looking for sunfish. There is a small ladder down to a sandy area (shallow where you get in- maybe 1.5 ft deep) in the water that was great fun for our young kids- they were exploring and splashing around all over! Easy entry if you want to go for a real swim too. The lake is crystal clear and clean. House itself is comfortable and the outdoor shower is actually a really cool feature.
The cottage was immaculate and had every convenience we could ask for. Situated right on the shore of West Hill Lake, my wife and I couldn't have chosen a more beautiful location to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary.. I'd stay there again in a heartbeat.
Really comfortable place with a great lake front spot. Close to good restaurants and several towns. The outdoor shower was fine even in mid October...but we didn't get that it was the only one from the listing. It is cool and private...I personally love showering outside!
We knew West Hill Pond from having lived in the area for years. We’ve referred to it as “Golden Pond” a reference to the Jane and Henry Fonda film. It’s a beautiful and quiet place.
The cabin was exactly what this “ lake girl” wanted; Original enough, updated enough and entirely comfortable. Coming from the Florida heat and humidity I was determined to be outside. The porch was perfect because we did have some gentle rain.
A true lake experience that looks back at what old cabins were and keeps that vibe going
We really enjoyed our stay. Accommodations are very basic which was fine with us as we wanted to be outside anyway. One thing to be aware of is that the only shower is an outside shower. We visited in October and thankfully hit a beautiful weekend for using the outdoor shower. Other than that, if you're looking for a quiet get away, good place.
