The house was my childhood home and has been in my family for several generations. My husband and I couldn't bring ourselves to sell it when my father passed away so we decided to completely restore it. The house is like new with everything updated. We lovingly remade or restored all the best the house could be.

I believe you will be surprised by the quiet country feel of the neighborhood. The location is perfect for just about everything.
- New Braunfels is several minutes away with two rivers and the best waterpark in the country.
- Some of the best shopping in the state is less than 30 minutes away.
- San Antonio and the riverwalk are 45 minutes to the south and Austin is only 1 hour to the north.

- And the Texas hill country is at your back door.

My wife and I stayed for a couple nights visiting family in New Braunfels. She was very impressed on how beautiful the house was. It's well equipped with everything you need and the beds are very comfy.It's location is excellent for visiting Gruene or anything else in New braunfels. We really enjoyed sitting outside having coffee in the morning and watching the deer feed next to the house. The owner is very sweet and was very attentive to our needs.

This home is tucked back in a quiet neighborhood near Gruene. We enjoyed our stay and had everything we needed. The house was perfect for us and very clean. We were thrilled to have such a nice place to stay. There were deer, goats and miniature horses on the property. It made me feel at home to be there.

The pictures truly do not do this property justice! The house is very clean and well stocked. The beds were comfortable. Perfect layout of the house! Watching the deer outside was so much fun! Very well done remodel of old house

This remodel of a historical property was of the highest quality and is perfect for 2-4 people. The bed quality was good. The property was in a good location, relatively large and quiet except for a few passing trains. There is a large patio in back of the house followed by a few pened goats. There is a 100% chance you will see lots of relatively tame deer.

Always a Wonderful Time

We choose to stay at Rahe Guest Haus because it is a hidden gem. So close to Gruene, New Braunfels, and the Guadalupe River. Nothing is more than a few minutes drive away. The owners, Marjorie and Dennis are two of the nicest and most genuine people you could ever meet. They are very accommodating and the house is always clean and fresh. We will always choose to stay here as long ast we come to Gruene or the river.

Great house, responsive owner

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Went for the eclipse. Drove 20 miles for totality and it was a dud (clouds), but the house was stellar. Great WiFi if you need it, good appliances if you’re cooking. Well-stocked. Both Keurig and drip coffee makers and tons of Keurig pods if you are so inclined. Marjorie was very responsive to questions re: AC thermostat and the intricacies of lowering blinds (operator error on my part). She comes over every day to feed the deer in the back area but is not intrusive at all. Got to meet Chubby and Elsie, the goats. Nice quiet neighborhood. Train comes by occasionally but wasn’t too close to spoil the atmosphere. Would definitely stay there again if in the vicinity.
