Great hotel and fully renovated/new. Staff is also lovely. A few more additions to the breakfast would be necessary as it is quite poor but it was a good stay.

Would look for a place in Ulm next time rather than Neu Ulm. Limited as a hotel in food, drink, amenities.

Due to the fact, that we have a RiKu HOTEL in Ulm as well, we would be pleased to welcome you at this hotel next time. Also nice to know, there is a Barfüßer Hausbrauerei located in the same building. This restaurant offers you homebrewed Barfüßer beer and bavarian-swabian dishes.

Nice hotel
The hotel was walkable to the town center. Parking was not the most convenient as there were only about 10 spots behind the building; we ended up about 1/2 mile away because we couldn’t find the parking garage they mentioned. The room itself was very clean and comfortable. We wish we had more time to explore Ulm because we felt there were more shops, foods, and churches to explore than we initially planned for.

Such nice friendly staff. Clean, spacious room. The shower was European style, half enclosed. I like fully enclosed so the water does not splash outside. Otherwise it was perfect.

Comfortable clean hotel. Has very limited parking but found on street parking (paid) without too much issue. Rooms on the main street could be noisy in the summer as there's no aircon.

Hotel close to town centre
Used as an overnight stop en route to Bavaria. Only slight down side no air con otherwise perfect with good parking.

Good Value
Hotel Riku was a great location for us to visit our son and his family only about a 10 minute walk away. Their price was less than several other hotels we have stayed in on previous visits. Breakfast was not included but the hotel had a very nice breakfast buffet at a very reasonable price (7.50 Euro). We were disappointed not to have several amenities we are used to like coffee pot in the room, telephone and a safe. The room was large and spacious with a very high ceiling and two big windows. We will stay there again.

Everything was super but room to hot and ni airco or cooling possibility. Could 't sleep because to warm and no air althuogh I openen the window.

Nice hotel, but no AC
We got one of the last rooms that was on the first floor on the West side. No AC and on a hot day in July it was really hot in our room. And if you open the window you have a motorcycle parking area with a lot of noise and people walking by. So if you stay here in Summer, get a higher room facing a direction other than West. Otherwise a nice place and close to nice walking areas in town and across the river.

Very walkable to old town and perfect base for sightseeing. Nice and clean and reasonable. I would certainly stay here again if I come back to Ulm.

On site it said rooms had A/C when I got there found out it was for other site even though I was looking at this one. Room was right on busy street so couldn't leave window open to sleep. Paid 7.50 euro for cold breakfast. Won't stay there again.

Very solid hotel.
The room was great for the price, in a beautiful small town. The hotel staff was wonderful and spoke very good English. My only negative was their "buffet" style breakfast which cost €7.50/per person per day. The selection was that of two to three meats, two cheeses and some breads, diced fruit (taste like they were from a can), and some cereals. Not the best, considering the numerous fantastic coffee/bakeries very near by. Overall a solid 8/10 for the entire stay.

Poor impression from the start - elevator not working; hotel told us we couldn't use the service elevator though saw other guests using it. Breakfast was so-so. VERY loud neighborhood.

A clean, fresh hotel with friendly staff
I regularly travel to Neu-Ulm on business and have stayed here several times. Each time the room has been spotless and the hotel is in very good condition throughout as it is relatively new. The staff are always very pleasant and their is a good breakfast with varied coffee options. Although the hotel is located in Neu-Ulm, it is only a 10-min walk along the Danube in to the centre of Ulm where you will find the cathedral and lots of good shopping as well as any number of fabulous restaurants.

Clean and modern
Nice hotel which were welcomed after our train travels. Room was clean and spacious and beds comfortable. Very close to train station which was ideal for us. Nice walk into town centre also where we then climbed Ulm Minster cathedral spire. The tallest in the world. Took us a tough 40min to climb the 768 steps which was very claustrophobic at times but views from the top made it worth it

We booked this hotel for on night it was okay but the bathroom could have been cleaner there was talc still in shower which I did not like put me off straight away maybe it deserves a better rating as everything else was okay but the shower just put me off

We stayed in a triple room with our 4 year old and 9 week old baby! The room was massive plenty of space for all of us and was very clean, the only downside no air conditioning!! The car park is small but plenty of roadside parking, what definitely recommend this hotel as a stop over!

What a dilemma to rate Riku!
Riku is trying very hard to provide a fashionable image. Yet, everything is so close but not. Location is fair yet noisy. Parking spots are too limited to claim 'free parking available'. Staffs are very tired at evening to offer warm welcome. Yet, for their price setting, I think its fair.

Nice clean modern hotel.
This is a modern basic hotel, situated about 5 minutes walk from the old town, or about 10 minutes from the Cathedral/ City centre. The rooms are as described, complete with a writing desk and chair. There is no air conditioning or safe in the room. I found my room to be clean upon arrival, and the daily housekeeping ensured it was maintained as I found it. There is only a shower, no bath. Although the area doesn't look too nice, on first impressions. I didn't notice any signs of neglect, nor did I feel uneasy, about walking around alone after dark. There is a well maintained children's play area close to the hotel, where parents appeared quite happy to let them play alone. Elsewhere there is a selection of shops and restaurants, as well as a bank, all within a 10 minute walk from the hotel. Remember this hotel is situated in Neu Ulm (New Ulm) which is a good 15 minutes walk from the main railway station. (Haupbauhnhof) However there is a smaller suburban railway station called Neu Ulm, with frequent services to the Haupbauhnhof, should you feel the need to use them. The hotel is situated a 10 minute walk (maximum) from this suburban station, which it's self is adjacent to a large new shopping centre. The only comment I would make, is that if you have luggage, you will need to use the wheelchair lift in the car park, to access the hotel. It is signposted, but you may also need to use the buzzer, adjacent to the door, to be able to enter the hotel.

Lovely, new hotel very close to the Danube
The hotel is lovely, the staff are friendly and the breakfast is very good. However, what I didn't like was the fact that you cannot check in until 4pm. This is most inconvenient for me as I like to be able to check into the hotel and get freshened up before I go to work when I am travelling on business.

within 10mins walk to city. free wifi and parking was good. There's a new small Italian joint called Vabene just adjacent to the hotel. It does takeaway pizzas and pasta. The little restaurant seats abt 20. We had pasta there daily. At eur6-9 per dish, it was good value. The spaghetti. ragu di Manzo (aka bolognese) was fab and big. So was the carbonara. Overall, the hotel was good value for its price

Great Bavarian Business location Ulm
Beautiful hotel at a good price. The bathrooms are amazing, the room is nice and the lobby is wonderful with a full bar. The room did not come with breakfast but it was only 6 euro. I stayed here for 3 days as a home base for work in bavaria. Close to Munich and other cities in southern Germany by train. It is on the other side of the river in Ulm called Neu Ulm but it is s short walk or a 3 minute train ride to Ulm.
