  • The old half-timbered house is in the middle of the village. Here you can relax, go fishing, hiking or cycling. In the village there is a museum and a wild boar enclosure. A playground for children is in place. Dömitz is approx. 8 km away, there are restaurants, a harbor, the fortress and shops. Kaliß is located on the edge of the Mecklenburg Elbtalaue nature reserve.

Gut für zwei

Wir hatten eine schöne Zeit in der Ferienwohnung. Sehr schön ruhig gelegen. Allerdings hat die Ausstattung und Sauberkeit der Küche (z. B. Backofen nicht gereinigt, Licht defekt) noch Potenzial. Zumal es kaum Gastronomie in der Nähe gibt. Der Außenbereich war nicht nutzbar, da der Tisch alt und kaputt war. Schade.

Geräte nicht funktionstüchtig

Unterkunft sauber, allerdings waren der Kühlschrank und der Fernseher nicht funktionstüchtig. Eine Ferienwohnung ohne funktionierenden Kühlschrank ist uns noch nicht untergekommen. Es gab auch keinerlei Anleitungen hinsichtlich der Nutzung von Geräten. Die Heizung ist ein besonderes System, glücklicherweise kannte sich mein Ehepartner aus und wusste, dass mehrere Stunden Wartezeit notwendig sind, bis die Heizung greift.

Hier lässt sich der Urlaub naturnah genießen

Mein Freund und ich waren für eine Woche in Kaliß zu Besuch. Der Ort ist recht überschaubar, im Wald um die Ecke kann man schön spazieren und bspw. zum Fritz-Reuter-Stein ist es nicht weit. In Klein Schmölen sind die Binnendünen einen Besuch Wert und in Dömitz die Festung. Es lohnt sich, in Dömitz ein Fahrrad zu leihen, um in der Umgebung mobil zu sein. Außerdem ist der Elberradweg in nächster Nähe, was zu Fahrradtouren einlädt. Die Wohnung ist sehr schön eingerichtet und der Kontakt zur Vermieterin war sehr angenehm. W-Lan gab es leider nicht und auch der Mobilfunkempfang war nicht besonders gut. Aber für ein paar Tage in der ruhigen Natur kann man darauf auch gut verzichten. Für einen entspannten Urlaub fernab der ständigen Verfügbarkeit genau das Richtige.
