In the heart of the Natural Reserve "Acantilados de Maro - Cerro Gordo", specially protected area in the unique virgin coastal stretch at the Costa del Sol . On the mouth of the Rio de la Miel, on the edge of the cliff, leaning out directly over the stony beach Molino de Papel , the Natural Park "Sierra Almijara" behind it. Amazing 360º panoramic views over the sea, the countryside, Sierra Almijara, El Río and Nerja, with its landscape bathed in sunshine and crystal clear waters. Mediterranean atmosphere, reflecting a lifestyle in perfect harmony with Nature, within a relaxing rural setting where wildlife abounds. The seashore is almost at the same door. Some very clear mornings the coast of Africa is visible and spot seasonal passing by of pod of dolphins. Colorful sunrises and sunsets, enjoy an unforgettable and fascinating vacation immersed in full Nature (although close to all essential amenities).

Seasonally, there is thick vegetation due to cutting restrictions during bird breeding seasons or other environmental reasons. Maro-Cerro Gordo Cliffs Natural Area : is located on the eastern coast of Málaga, in the town of Nerja. A mountain range parallel to the coast that plunges abruptly into the sea, forming steep cliffs in which beautiful beaches and wild coves are interspersed. Maro-Cerro Gordo Cliffs Natural Area is a true spectacle of nature that will seduce you. Peek into some of the viewpoints and enjoy a spectacular view that will remain etched in your mind forever.
This is an area of high ecological value. The width and attractiveness of the protected land are nothing compared to the underwater area. It features more than a thousand hectares full of caves and crystal clear waters where nature shows an amazing seabed.

One of the great attractions of the park are the famous caves of Nerja, formed by various galleries, where there are endless stalactites, columns and waterfalls. Important archaeological sites from the Paleolithic have also been found: human remains, cave paintings, ceramics and various tools. It is known as "The natural cathedral of Europe" Therefore, it is not surprising that the United Nations has declared this natural park as SPAMI (Specially Protected Area of Importance for the Mediterranean). We stayed a month at Balcon del Duende. It was fabulous. The views are stunning and the location is very private. Absolutely quiet through the night. It is clean, comfortable and fully equipped. Would definitely recommend.

Direkt am Meer, tolle Lage. Die Terrasse ist fantastisch, und die großen Fensterfronten im Wohnzimmer gestatten auch an windigen Tagen einen tollen Ausblick aufs Meer. Wir fanden den Aufenthalt grandios. Die Zufahrt ist für ein größeres Auto abenteuerlich, aber man will ja gar nicht oft wegfahren (und man gewöhnt sich dran).
