Gorgeous bed and breakfast

The Lilac Suite was lovely and had all the essentials. The check-in representative was super nice and helpful. Our host Sunday morning was friendly and made us a fantastic breakfast. Highly recommend!

OU Mom’s Weekend Viist

The Lilac Suite at Hyde House in Nelsonville was a perfect stay for my visit with my OU student for Mom’s Weekend. Nelsonville is a short 20 minute drive from campus. Love the B&B option at such a reasonable price and lovely location. Breakfast is good, property is very clean and well maintained. Have stayed a there few times now and would happily stay again!

Beautiful BnB Would Stay Again

Our new favorite place offers something unique and welcoming. We decided that Hyde House is a place to return to. The charm of the rooms, the friendliness of, Cherokee, the wonderful hostess, were something we enjoyed very much.

Lovely Nelsonville House

House was convenient to downtown and Hocking College. Clean, great condition, complete breakfast. Quiet and comfortable. We will book Lilac Room when we return.

Quiet getaway

We had a nice stay at the Hyde House. Rooms were clean and spacious (we were in the Lilac suite). Weekend breakfast was different each day, small selection but filling. Liked being close to the town square.

Quaint, beautiful place!

Very nice place. Everything was beautiful and the young ladies who served breakfast were very sweet. Just off of the main square and very close to the bike trail. Was disappointed that the hot tub wasn’t very hot and didn’t have enough water in it.

Cute little getaway.

Overall we had an amazing experience. The property was beautiful. The perfect relaxing getaway after hiking all day. We got locked out after not remembering to bring our keys with us to the hot tub, and the housekeeper came at 7 pm to make sure we were not still locked out, though another guest had already let us inside. Wonderful staff.

Wonderful weekend stay!

While in Nelsonville for some cycling we enjoyed staying in the Lilac Suite, the only unit on the first floor of the Hyde House. The house is quite charming, clean and well maintained. There is ample off-street parking around the back and, if necessary, on the street as well. Good hot breakfasts were provided with coffee and tea readily available in the kitchen anytime. We were able to spend some time one evening with the very friendly property owners learning more about the area. They were quite interested in our cycling experiences on this trip and offered assistance with identifying low traffic bike routes for future visits. The property by the way is a very easy half mile bike ride to the Hockhocking Adena Bikeway. We would happily stay here again.

Absolutely wonderful on all counts

This is a beautiful home from the 1890's, on National Registry of Historical Locations, which has been lovingly and completely resurrected as a B & B, run by a local family with a lot of excellent help! From the excellent breakfast cook (delicious) to the friendly lady who took care of the rooms, to the owner herself, it was a treasure. The only issue for me was the air conditioning (which on the last day I learned we could adjust) and a bit of confusion about the check-in process (even though the people at Pro-Adventure were very helpful) which was a bit confusing. I did not know until the last night there was a jacuzzi either, but with so many interesting things to do around Nelsonville (kayaking the Hocking River being one of them), it was not missed! On my next trip back to the area, there is no question about where I would stay!
