Quest Nelson
We found the parking situation annoying. The information at booking is that “parking available” which translated to parking is $15. Then, after parking and paying the fee we found out there was free parking at the rear of the building.

A good hotel but nothing really outstanding

The Beachcomber Hotel
We were on a queen room. The bed was comfortable and the room a good size. It has recently been refurbished to a good standard. There is a microwave, coffee plunger and crockery but washing up all as to be done in the bathroom sink which is a bit odd.

Tides Hotel
Cool hotel. Funky art everywhere including toilet seats and garbage cans. Comfy bed. Great location.

Rutherford Hotel Nelson
The hotel is a bit old especially mattresses that feel uncomfortable and may have outlasted the nice 1950s Mercedes 230SL that is displayed in the lobby.
