This impeccable, three bedroom, two bathroom, luxurious duplex accommodates up to six guests. Riviera features an open plan, split level, lounge, dining and fully equipped kitchen, with soaring ceilings, all looking out to expansive water views. The lounge and dining room flow out onto a vast, fully secure, gated entertaining deck, with retractable shade awning, where the breath-taking views can be enjoyed while cooking on the BBQ, eating and drinking at the alfresco dining table. Bedroom one has a king bed and spacious ensuite. Bedroom two has a queen bed and bedroom three has a solid white timber tri-bunk (double with single above). The main bathroom features a shower over a corner spa bath, perfect for bathing little ones or soaking in yourself after a fun day of exploring the region. For winter bookings, you will enjoy the underfloor heating in both bathrooms. Riviera features sophisticated, yet relaxed, coastal inspired furnishings and decor which instantly evoke serene beach holiday vibes the moment you walk through the door. Perfectly positioned in the heart of Nelson Bay, you can stroll along the waterfront into town to explore the boutique shops, restaurants and cafes, as well as the children’s beach front playground, or hop on a lunch, dolphin or whale watching cruise that depart from the marina. There were no beach towels which we would have appreciated. Access is a bit tricky as has to be accessed by rear lane. Steps from the beach side require work so that they are safe to use. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Nice place to stay for the weekend, add was abit confusing with linen etc being included. Was a bit tricky to get to the parking and entrance as you can’t enter via Victoria Parade. The bed we slept in was quite hard and uncomfortable and there was a mug in the cupboard that hadn’t been washed. The apartment was exceptionally clean and comfortable, all modern fittings, beautifully styled and very true to the photos. The view from the deck is amazing. We were easily able to walk to Nelson Bay Beach, the Marina and surrounds. Everyone was happy and comfortable, from kids to grandparents! We did some cooking on the BBQ - beware there are next to no pantry items so bring your own if you plan to cook. Reviewer Comments: You cannot beat this view!! Views of the Bay from every angle except for bedrooms. My Husband and I stayed here for 5 nights in May and could have stayed longer. Very clean apartment and styled in a hamptons theme. Carpet is a bit tired, but i am fussy. Balcony is large enough for a family bbq, but we enjoyed just sitting out there with a drink and watching all the boats come and go and the dolphins swim on occassion. The gas fire pit looked amazing on the balcony however, not sure if it worked and had no instructions.Fantastic position overlooking Nelson Bay, a road behind the apartment is a short walk to the beach and main town, we grabbed a coffee from town each morning.A beautiful apartment in a beautiful location. Shoal Bay Country Club for best meals. ##### Jodi K. ### 8/10 Good #### Anna P. 7 Oct 2022 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### Gorgeous place & view but lacks any instruction and information Overall it is a sumptuous, glamorous and comfortable unit and a short walk to town. It would have been perfect and a 5/5 IF there had been instructions when we arrived: - Spent literally an hour looking through every drawer and cupboard for instructions - Tried to work out the outdoor gas fire-place and also the retractable awning - Eventually texted the owners/manager who responded that all instructions are in the link to the pre-check-in questionnaire. So got out laptop, found email, followed link... no specific instructions. Texted back owner/manager who said actually the fireplace is not usable due to safety. In that case it needs to be removed from the listing photographs as it is extremely misleading and we were very disappointed. Remote for awning at the bottom of a basket in the dining room. - On our second last day no hot water from early afternoon. Went out and figured there would be hot water when we got home. No. Texted owner/manager after hours but no response. No showers that night. Next morning still no hot water so phoned after our hours service. Was told to check fuse boxes which I had done and still no hot water. Finally spoke to very helpful man at Stayz at 9.30am who explained that the hot water is on two gas bottles and one of them must have run out. Had to go outside and switch over the gas bottles. He gave us an extra 30 minutes so we could shower before leaving. Absolutely no warning or instruction anywhere that this could happen and very unfortunate given we were paying $600+ per night. Also when I was trying to work out how to get hot water on the last morning, I found little boxes in the bathroom which switched on the under-tile heating in the bathrooms. Would have been nice to know this on arrival. Again these little things need to be told to visitors. We are not property experts or mind readers. These little things unfortunately do disappoint when you are spending a lot of money for a special trip away and it takes away from what is otherwise a stunning property. ##### Anna P.
