"The lication is great, the staff was very nice. For breakfast they were efficient but at the times we went it was always very full. Part of the reason we booked it, was the thinking we could relax after a day out in the pool. As where there is a pool, finding a lounger is like winning the lottery. We had a room with a balcony, overlooking a busy road, so as it is a balcony it's not really usable. As well the hotel is advertised with free wifi and pool, but once you are there you pay your daily resort fee for wifi and pool use (even they do not enough chairs loungers available). So would I stay here again, for the price we paid, no we wouldn't, as I think the price is too high for what you get. It is still a nice kept hotel"

"Great location and the team there were great. If you want a reasonably priced hotel within walking distance to cable cars and buses, with lots of shops and restaurant options this is it. My only comment would be it’s a bit dated but spotlessly clean. We arrived with big cases and the lift situation is a nuisance but doable! All together a great stay and San Francisco was amazing!"

"My stay at Hotel Drisco was wonderful! Extremely helpful and courteous staff, impeccable rooms with every amenity, and a lovely breakfast and evening wine/cocktail hour. Located in an upscale, quiet neighborhood, but still walking distance to dining, shopping, site seeing, etc. Hotel Drisco exceeds many of the 5-star sites in San Francisco and parallels 5-star European stays. Impressive!"

"We had a very nice stay and will return. It was surprisingly quiet at night, considering the location on Geary. Parking was easy - we were able to drive out to dinner and park again. The staff was terrific - the young man checked on us an hour into our stay - an unusual touch. The room and bathroom were very clean! We did not have cups for water or ice, but I could have asked. In the morning the coffee was not available until 9:00 so my husband found great coffee and baked goods at Boudin, a block away. Small details."

"Nicely appointed and convenient - great location for those who want to be near Golden Gate Park and Haight-Ashbury and near environs. Surprisingly quiet at night even though our room faced Stanyan. An old building, so you have to be okay with some creakiness; htough nicely renovated mostly. The sink has NOWHERE to put toiletries. The shower head collar was loose and not caulked - so beware of future mold in the wall. I can never understand why most hotels - even nicer ones - are so terrible at bathroom maintenance.The breakfast is packaged stuff so not the greatest. So many tempting coffee/breakfast places nearby. Close to a Whole Foods if that matters to you."
