"We booked 2 rooms on my Amex Platinum card for a weekend that was considered in between seasons (very low capacity). We checked in the evening on a Friday. The rooms were fine (small bathroom but ok). It isn't too late for dinner so we headed down to eat. There was no one to greet us or to seat us at a table and after a few minutes we just sat down. Finally the server came and asked us to order right away as the kitchen would close soon (it was only 8:45). The manager showed up and said they would comp a desert as we weren't greeted upon arrival. Actually, I really didn't want desert, the glass of wine would be better but then ok. The staff not being around was a theme the whole weekend. The thing that bothered me the most was the day we checked out. I had a late flight and requested an extra hour to check out (even just one of the rooms). The receptionist Katy explained that 'No it was not possible'. The place was virtually empty. That's the last time I will stay at Black Rock Mountain Resort!"

"Had a wonderful stay from start to finish! The space was spotless, everything was clean, well-stocked, and felt complete the moment we walked in. Whenever we had a question or ran into a small issue, the hosts were incredibly responsive and helpful, making the whole experience feel easy and stress-free. The location was a huge plus too; a lovely, quiet neighborhood close to Main Street, so we had the best of both worlds. Would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a hassle-free, comfortable stay!"

"Walking distance to restaurants. Very basic amenities but no where to hang any clothes if needed. We were attending a wedding and had to go purchase our own hangers and use the coat rack to hang our clothes up. Also, hot water takes about ten minutes or more to work for showers and the bed sheets had to be changed as they smelt very sweaty and dirty when we arrived. "
