Experience the Dixon Loft where historic elegance meets modern luxury in this newly remodeled 160-year old iconic building in downtown Natchez.

Your Unique Dixon Experience: The Loft boasts over 3,000 sq. ft. of light-filled living space with soaring 13 ft. ceilings. The fully equipped galley kitchen features brand new state of the art appliances and opens into an inviting sitting area. Relax in this open conversation area or step through a floor-to-celing window to perch on the connected balcony overlooking Main Street. From this vista, you can enjoy your morning coffee while taking in the sights and sounds of downtown - the center of art, music, shopping and dining in Natchez. The sitting room opens to a bright, inviting, and spacious living/dining room area with a dining room table that seats 8 comfortably. The living room offers two large sofas and chairs perfect for gameday gatherings around a 70” TV or just spending time with friends and family. Further down the hall, three large, private bedrooms accommodate many different types of guests: two bedrooms have king sized beds and the third has 2 queens beds. Each bedroom features a 50” TV and en suite bathroom with toilet and shower. The property also boasts a laundry room with an industrial washer/dryer.

The Historic Dixon Building: Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Dixon Building was constructed between 1866-1872 and sits prominently on Main Street in downtown Natchez. Originally, the first floor housed Dixon’s of Natchez, a paint and wallpaper shop that is reportedly the second oldest business in Natchez. Dixon’s was a cornerstone of Natchez life and instrumental in decorating many important local homes, including the iconic Stanton Hall and Dunleith. The second floor of the building was home to the Dixon family from the late 1800’s through the mid 1900’s. After that, the building changed hands several times, before it was purchased in 2016 with the goal of transforming the property into the stunning Dixon Loft.

Spacious and Luxurious Loft w/ Balcony!

We had the best weekend in Natchez staying at the Dixon Loft. The loft exceeded every expectation- the pictures don’t do it justice. Very large, well appointed and impressive. It was hard leaving the balcony/ loft to go explore Natchez. Great location, friendly and accommodating hosts. Highly recommend and look forward to returning.

Beautiful renovation. Great for girls getaway. Only drawback is the stairs. You have to be able to climb up. We had one guest who had a hard time but made it and enjoyed it immensely

We absolutely loved the Dixon Loft. It was so beautifully decorated. I loved that it had 3 master suites, each with their own bathroom and thermostat controls. Everything was within walking distance. We had a great stay and would love to stay again.

The property is beautiful and large with so much space. The manager was very responsive and helpful. The apartment is in the middle of downtown in walking distance to shops and places to eat. It was easy to get in and out and lock up. I will definitely come back and stay again.

Wedding weekend

We loved our stay at this beautiful loft! I was both gorgeous and comfortable, which is rare. The weather was great, and we really enjoyed the balcony. Pretty shops and fabulous restaurants are just steps away…another bonus!

Very charming place

Overall we had a great stay. Place is nicely decorated and charming. It was clean but I do travel with my own cleaning supplies. The check in and out was seamless, my only recommendation is to do a a quick sweep of the window sills and corners as webs and dead flies accumulate here. I would definitely visit again.

The perfect place to stay in Natchez!

We so enjoyed our stay at the Dixon Loft! It’s a beautifully restored property with amazing decor and attention to detail. The location was perfection and close to everything you want to do in town. We also loved all of the historical touches like old photographs of the building, framed documents from the previous owners, etc. The property managers were super responsive and helpful as well. All in all we had a great stay!! Highly recommend! Very authentic property in Natchez.

The perfect spot!

The Dixon Loft is nothing short of perfection! The rooms are very spacious, and the furnishings are very high end. We loved how the history of the property is reflected in the art and photography through the house. The location could not be better- walking distance to many restaurants, coffee shops and stores. If you’re looking for the perfect spot to experience downtown Natchez, do not miss the Dixon Loft!

Worth it!

Well appointed spacious residence with lots of amenities. Balcony views of the energetic Main Street. Walking distance to just about anywhere you want to go; shops, restaurants, galleries, events, etc. We will definitely be staying there again.

Spacious and Wonderful

Beautiful and well appointed Loft. Location was safe and easy. Great balcony overlooking Main Street. The spacious common (1500sqft out of 3000sqft total) area was the perfect setting for our family time that allowed for comfortable dinning, football (brilliant 85inch TV) and intimate conversations, all at the same time. The layout was expansive, and could not have been more perfect for us.

Absolutely gorgeous loft!

The pictures do not do the Dixon Loft justice. This place is absolutely gorgeous and much larger than you think! We had 8 ladies for a retreat, and we had plenty of space. The balcony is such a bonus to the property. It’s in walking distance of so many shops, restaurants, and things to do. The property manager was so attentive and very informative. I cannot say enough great things about this property! We will recommend The Dixon to everyone.

Absolutely FANTASTIC Stay in the Dixon!

We brought our real estate team (from Fredericksburg, TX) to Natchez, our favorite city, in July 2022. We put six of our group in the Dixon Loft and it was PERFECT! Others in our group stayed at the Main Street Loft (also great) which is across the street. If you need more space than the Dixon, you can add that one. We needed one more (12 of us) so we took the Franklin apartment which is two blocks away. All super close. We used the Dixon as the gathering spot since it is SO big and SO gorgeous! I just can't say enough about how special this place is. If you are able to book the Dixon, do it! Fabulous!

Spacious, gracious central location

We are a group of antique collectors interested in all in our 70s all with advanced degrees and interest in local history, historic houses, and gardening ... not to mention dining well! This property rental caught my eye and I suggested it to the group rather than staying in a hotel location. It was perfect for our collecting interests. Each couple had private rooms and baths and we were still able to meet together in the common areas for television, conversation, and breakfasts. The kitchen was fabulous. If we were to visit again, I would make plans to make much better use of it and actually cook! But, for us, there were simply so many choices for dining that we only had breakfast & evening snacks in the loft. We tend to be an outgoing group and managed to make friends with a number of people during our stay. That included the local property manager for the location. The instructions for opening the coded front door were not written correctly. A local businesswoman was passing by and interceeded. She spoke directly with our manager and was able to unlock the front door. Phew!! The property manager promptly provided items that were missing or things that we did not think to pack. She earns an A+ for prompt responses & willingness to help. We LOVED the space and would rent again if we return to Natchez ... so many great places, so little time to explore them all. The loft is part of a historic property and does have some issues age-related issues ... uneven flooring that can snag & injure, doors that might not always open or close properly, lack of enough supplies such as tissues or toilet paper ... easily rectified but those things should be checked PRIOR to a visit. All-in-all, it was a perfect location for our group, well-educated, antique collectors, gardeners, and all in our 70s. The steep stairway did not dissuade us at all. Vehicle parking on the street was available without issue. I would return just so I could return to the Dixon!
