The staff were all so warm and hospitable. We had a toddler with us and everyone was so sweet and genuinely kind to us, a group of foreign visitors. Every part of the hotel was furnished with charm and personality, with care given to even the smallest details such as the daily floral arrangements and warm matcha and snacks upon our return. The rooms and onsen were all extremely clean and well maintained. Breakfast and dinner in the beautiful partitioned dining areas were exceptional! Each meal showcased the best that the season and surroundings had to offer. The river outside the property was gorgeous. Common areas of the ryokan, especially the lounge and onsen, were terrific. I have to mention again the absolutely terrific hospitality of all the staff, which made returning to the ryokan each day feel so welcoming.
