Not entirely accurate.
It was a bit rundown but clean. However the listing shows bunk beds which we thought would be perfect for the kids and made the sleeping arrangements much easier. However when we arrived, there were no bunk beds but a cot. That was okay but if we had known there were no bunk beds we would have booked a different place. The two window air conditioners just were not enough to cool the house, especially in the heat wave. We had to go buy fans.

Great Place To Get Away
Overall this house was a great place to stay for our hunting trip. Although it is dated, the house was cozy, and everything worked as it should except for one of the stove burners. Plenty of places to sleep and the roll-away bed is the comfiest of all. The mattresses on the beds need to be replaced but we didn’t care at the end of the day. Would definitely recommend and would stay again.

The perfect get away
I see why they call it the Nason Cabin because that is exactly what it feels like when you enter! From the outside it looks like a house, but on the inside it is cozy and perfect if you just want a few nights away from your own home. We had so much fun at the Nason Cabin and made memories I will never forget. It is in a great location where you can visit local towns like Sesser, Whittington, Benton, Mt. Vernon or even Bonnie for dinner, but then come back to the cabin for a secluded, quiet night in! We will definitely be staying there again in the future.

Grandpa and Grandmas old house with a story
I loved it here!!!!! Sure it’s a older place but there is a lot character. It’s a quiet area, lots of deer, oil rig machines, and it’s country living at its best. I can’t wait for my next visit.

We were able to spend time with our Family and house was a great clean place to stay. Hope to rent it again. David the one handling the rental was not diligent with his job so we had to stay somewhere till he messaged us with the code so we could access the house and he was not answering questions when asked so had to contact support

Quaint cabin near the lake
Loved our stay at this ‘cabin’ near the lake. It’s more like a small house. Everything is neat and tidy. Owners were easy to communicate with. Plenty of space for everyone. Lovely property - we saw deer in the fields both nights we were there. Will definitely stay here again.

Old Guys at the lake.
We had a great time. The place is an old farm house. It’s older and quirky. Floors can be uneven and light switches are in unexpected spots. The front door needs some repair and the sink seems to leak. All of that being said it was perfect for a weekend away from family and obligations. Beds were comfortable and the privacy was assured. Surrounded by a sea of soy crop had a calming effect. The owners were excellent. Check in and out super easy. It’s a simple place to rest and cook, in between trips to the lake.

Secluded, basic and uncleanliness
Had to clean home prior to stay, owner said home was clean upon complaint of walking into home finding. Dirty counters, dirty floors, mice droppings in kitchen drawers, cabinets. Owner basically reported it was cleaned prior to arrival and dismissed complaints of uncleanliness. Would not return.

Had a great experience at this little house rental. It had everything you need to enjoy your self and still have all the amenities of home. It was cozy and warm feeling. Had a awesome view of the flat area you can see for miles! Was close to the lake which is where we spent most of our time but was nice to come back lay in the nice soft clean beds and stay good and cool in the air condition. We are already planning to come back and book again!

Great Little Getaway!!!
If you want a simple, private and quaint home to rent, this is the one. The home was a little dated, but I was ok with that. It was furnished with everything you would need, towels, clean sheets and lots of other bedding. Rooms were clean, front porch was an excellent place to relax. Small covered patio in back was perfect for grilling and having a picnic. There were 3 TVs in the home. My only complaint, and it’s a very small one, was the oil rig in the field across from the house. It had a very annoying squeak/sound that never stopped. But I even got use to that after awhile. Communication with the owner was excellent. I would recommend this property to anyone who wants to get away from it all and just enjoy the country setting and the peace and quiet. I would definitely stay there again.

It is what they say
Nothing special. Just a little old house in a little town near the lake. I wasnt expecting glam. I just wanted a place with a kitchen and space for my dog to travel with us. This provided that just fine. I grew up near Nason so the visit was kind of nostalgic for me. I liked it. If you just want a place to sleep away from ‘town’ and maybe make a simple meal, this will do. Oh I would suggest some pizza or baking pans though. We had to get creative baking the kids chicken nuggets. ;) Simple, quiet…all I really needed. Super easy to find and folks made check in/out a breeze., Thanks!

Nice and quiet good for guy’s going hunting but not so much for romance.
Overall the place was nice and quiet area. Not far from Rend lake. Easy drive to any where you like to go. The only thing was disappointed was photo shows a gas fireplace but it does not work. If it does can’t find the instructions to use it. So if you are looking for a romantic night by the fireplace well not there. So dusting under beds could have been done. Other than that great cottage for bunch of guys.

It was an amazing experience. The cabin, so we called it, is located on a quiet street. The cabin has everything we could have possibly needed for a hunting trip. The beds were warm and cozy. Definitely looking forward to next year to come back and stay at the cabin again!

country cabin has it's own uniqueness. floors were a little uneven, but that was part of the charm of the cabin. I was so quiet an peaceful the week family spent there. we all hated to leave and go back home. family enjoyed being there. hope everyone who visits has an enjoyable time as we did.

Loved it here. It was quiet and fairly secluded. Big fire pit and shelter with a picnic table went great with a decent sized yard. The couch and chair in the living room were the most comfortable pieces of furniture I've lounged on in some time. Overall fantastic stay. Can't wait to bring my family again

Our fishing party of 3 really loved the accommodations. It has everything you need and all the comforts of home! It is just outside of town so you have all the privacy you could ask for when sitting on the front porch enjoying the day.. I highly recommend this place, we’ll be back soon!

We stayed over the weekend and everything was perfect. The beds were very comfortable, kitchen had everything you need, house was clean, awesome fire pit in the back. If you're looking for a nice getaway this house is perfect. Out in the middle of nowhere. Quiet. If I'm ever in the area again I would definitely try to rent the house again.
