Southern Comfort is a large authentic log cabin easily located on a five acre wooded ridge, just minutes from Nashville and Bean Blossom. You can enjoy the abundant wildlife while soaking in the six person hot tub situated on the large wrap around deck that sits among the treetops and offers a charcoal grill for the barbecue enthusiast. The outdoors can also be enjoyed with a game of horse shoes and a bon fire in the log-inspired fire pit. Inside the cabin, you will find beautiful hand-crafted hardwood floors throughout. The dining room, which offers seating for six, is combined with a fully equipped kitchen, including an indoor grill, that shares a large Brown County stone fireplace and conversation area; a perfect place to enjoy the crackling fire and a glass of wine, as you reminisce of your day's events. The cozy living room has plenty of seating to share general conversation, a selection of supplied movies, or even a good football game with family and friends on the available satellite program. There is a sleeper sofa in the living room and Satellite TV/DVD. The second floor offers two large bedrooms. Each offers a different theme; one room is focused on a rustic/primitive flare and boast a king-sized bed, while the second bedroom is furnished with a queen-sized bed and modern-day decor and reading areas. And just before heading to bed, stop in the loft to partake in an assortment of games or puzzles, or just you skip straight toward a hot bath in the authentic claw foot tub/shower. For your comfort enhancement, spa-quality robes are supplied during your stay. The master bedroom has Satellite TV/DVD, the second bedroom has TV/DVD. The lower level has a game room with a pool table. (There are loft style stairs to this game room so be careful). Only thing was that the campfire area was very bumpy and on a hill which was not pictured, and our group was a toddler and two disabled seniors so it was difficult, along with the stairs to upstairs they were not able to use because of how steep they were. Which was also not pictured. But other than that, it was amazing!! Beautiful views!! Amazing relaxation in the hot tub!! Beds were so comfortable too! We had 4 women in their 60's and one late 50's who couldn't take a shower because it was a claw foot tub that was too difficult for us to get in to. We did enjoy the hot tub one evening. The 3 of us enjoyed our time together. We enjoyed the hot tub, used the grill and kitchen, and the atmosphere felt very serene.A few things to keep in mind, the first floor is dimly lit. Making it difficult to sit and read a book or ingredients.The shower curtain liner was so long that we were standing on it while taking a showers. Upon entering we notice the lighting was quite dim. It was a charming but slightly cluttered atmosphere. The kitchen was unappealing with cabinets and drawers very unorganized and not well stocked with updated items. The silverware and utensils appeared to have been tossed into the drawers. The drawers were not clean and we found mouse droppings under the kitchen sink. An indoor grill was listed as an available appliance. Indeed it was there but was filthy. We had to clean it before we could use it. The refrigerator needs attention; the condensation is gathering inside and dripping inside onto the shelves. There was a puddle of water on the floor in front of the refrigerator when we arrived. Some items were dusted while others had not been cleaned in sometime. The hot tub and deck were not very clean or well maintained.The entire place needs a good thorough Spring cleaning. ##### Jeanine J. Such a wonderful time here with my family. We had nonstop fun. They already want to come again and stay at the same cabin. I love the layout of the kitchen. My son loves the pool table and darts, my daughters favorite was running around the cabin and the hot tub. The adults loved the same thing, plus all the detail and everything provided. The pictures does not do this place justice - it is so much cuter and cozier. We immediately felt at home! 4.5 stars for cleanliness because we did rewash some dishes that were kinda sticky. This is minor because we would probably have done this either way! The hot tub and deck are lovely, the couches are some of the most comfortable ones we’ve ever relaxed on. Beds are comfortable and location is great. The area is beautiful, and neighbors are far enough away that this feels very private. The cabin is very close to the road, and people come flying down the street, so good luck pulling out of the “driveway” without getting hit by a car since you can’t see over the hill that’s 20 feet away. Also, be sure to bring plenty of power banks because working outlets are hard to come by. The location worked well for us and the couches were large and comfy enough to sleep on!
