Everything was fine until....

Posted 02-Feb-2016
Staff was nice at check in. Room was clean and in good condition. They were remodeling the hallways so no big deal. The next morning is when it all went downhill. At 9am on a Sunday morning we start hearing a lot of noises. Hammering and such. Not what I wanted to hear when I'm trying to sleep in after a late evening out. Less then an hour later we started to notice a smell and it proceeded to get stronger by the min. It was a obviously paint thinner and so strong that we got up and checked out an hour and a half earlier then we had planned. As we are leaving the room we noticed they were painting the room across the hall. All that being said I think they should have made it aware online that the building was under construction. And the rates should have reflected it as well in my opinion. Also think they shouldn't be painting with any of the rooms occupied nearby. Told the front desk about everything and they said they would let the general manager know. Thanks for that

Great hotel with nice TV, breakfast n location. I

It was a great hotel. I really enjoyed myself except for finding a ladybug in my bed. Besides that situation, everything was awesome.

Pros: Convenient to Opryland.
Cons: Entrances, hallways and elevator wreaked of stale cigarette smoke. Fortunately, the room was clean and generally pleasing to stay in.
Hotel was competitive from a rate standpoint and satisfactory for that reason.

Simple hotel, but corridors with bed smell.

Posted 05-Jan-2016
For the price we paid for the hotel, I knew it was going to be simple and with a few scretches. Our room was clean and comfortable, good beds, flat pillows, air conditioning ok. The problem was the overall smell of the corridors, stink of old cigar and an old carpet impossible to clean. I hop in the renovations they take carpet away and put vinilic floor. But one of the main problems I thought were the guests. The coffe room is too small, so people take food to their rooms, let it fall on the floor and of course, don't clean. The cleaning staff clean everything everyday, but it doesn't keep clean beacause people clients keep droping things on the floor, leave bags of trash and food in front of the elevator. This kind of things you can do in a facilite that have staff cleaning all the time, but not in this kind. But in general, if I could get other place for the same price, I would.

Excellent price and staff terrible bathroom

Posted 29-Dec-2015
Staff was unexpectedly friendly and efficient. Price was right. Nightmare occurs in bathroom. Flapper leaked so got to hear water run every few minutes. Towel rack was broken and only got 5 minutes of luke warm water from shower head that changed settings intermittently on its own. Very frustrating. Otherwise location was good and they . Did have hot coffee in lobby.

Never stay again

Posted 21-Dec-2015
I will never stay here ever again. I hated it. Very dirty, halls all smelled like cigarettes. The man down the hall from our room had a prostitute, and I did not feel safe AT ALL. I will never come to this hotel anywhere ever again. I would definately recommend spending a few extra dollars and staying somewhere else.

Nice Staff, Terrible Building Conditions

Posted 07-Dec-2015
Staff was nice enough, but that is where it ends. Room had peeling wall paper, tub didn't drain and little to no water pressure. Also had to fight the lady bugs for the bed. Looked like they were holding a convention in our room. Bathroom light blew twice and had to be replaced, second time light cover wasn't installed properly and fell and shattered on floor. Won't stay there again

Desperately in need of some attention

Posted 01-Dec-2015
Pros: Location was great to entertainment and restaurants.
Cons: Ice machine drain on second floor is dripping and causing mold around drain and possible water damage below floor. Bathrooms need serious attention.
Location: Incredibly convenient location. So much to do in the immediate vicinity, close to Opryland and Mall. Location a huge asset to this Days Inn.
Enjoyed location of hotel and friendliness of staff. Cleanliness and upkeep did not seem a priority. A trash can near the ice machine had food remains and was never dumped during the 3 days were there. Rooms comfortable but bathrooms seriously need attention, mostly tub calking needed and a brown sludge backed up into the sink when toilet was flushed. The hotel seemed tired and really needs a makeover. It is in such a great location that it is a prime opportunity to be a premiere Days Inn which this one is not.
