Good hotel for one night

Posted 28-Nov-2016
The hotel itself is not very clean, such as the floors, walls, etc but the room was small but clean and didn't have a smell. The sheets were clean and fresh. The staff is friendly and efficient. We only stayed for one night for a football game and I will probably stay here again for short stays and weekend trips.

Close to Opryland and Shopping

Posted 23-Nov-2016
Pros: Location
Cons: Its outdated and needs overhaul.
Location: Everything Christmas, shopping, restaurants, Opryland mall, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, ICE....all just a mile or two away...
Hotel is a older hotel that is in some need for upgrading, but price is right for an overnight stay to visit Gaylord Opryland Hotel, Ice, The Opry Mills Mall and the Show. Bed was comfortable and I slept good. Breakfast basic, Danish type goodies and cereal, coffee, and muffins. Price was right for the nights stay. Check in was absolutely nice, quick and informative. I have stayed here before.

Non-Smoking Room Smelled Like A Smoking Room

Posted 19-Nov-2016
My experience of this hotel wasn't nice. I got a non-smoking room, and yet it smelled of smoke. The hallway also smelled of smoke. The smell stuck to my body, and disappeared only after a shower. The hotel is cheap, and I had no other option for all other hotels were full (there was a football game in Nashville). The staff were ok, but still I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Stayed for a weekend to attend a football game

Posted 14-Nov-2016
Location: Opryland events, grand ole opry, opry mills mall
Location is awesome for the opryland area. About a 5 minute drive from the hotel to the mall. They have a shuttle that runs every hour that takes you downtown Nashville and picks you up. For the money you save staying at this hotel vs downtown it is well worth it. Not a fancy hotel, but meets hotel needs.

Needs update

Posted 13-Nov-2016
Pros: location
Cons: everything
That was the smallest hotel room I've ever stayed in. To go to the bathroom - you had to close the door - turn around - then do your business. The two chairs for the couldn't be moved out because they were caught between the bed and the wall. Color scheme - UGLY

Smokey smelling

Posted 07-Nov-2016
Our Non-Smoking room was close to the smoking rooms. Every time we walked to our room, we had to pass by stinky, smokey rooms. Hotel definitely needs some upgrades. We saved money compared to other area hotels but when in the area, we will never stay there again.

Bad smell like moldy carpet and wallpaper peeling.

Posted 03-Nov-2016
We have stayed at this hotel before and the rooms were not too bad, but this one was awful. Would have asked for another but knew hotel was booked. The room had a very bad smell like moldy carpet, the wallpaper was peeling off the walls, mold in the tub surround, missing light bulbs, and bad lighting. Very disappointing especially at what we paid and will not stay here again.

Dirty rooms and rude staff

Posted 03-Nov-2016
Pros: The location.
Cons: A good cleaning and new staff.
Location: Near the Grand Ole Opry.
Room was dirty. Staff was rude. TV didn't work. Electric outlets coming off walls. Chunks of dirt and dust in the heater. Room smelled of mold. Phone was broken. Two different people were locked from their rooms because the locks were broken. The front desk man called the police on a customer because she asked for her money back due to being locked out of her room and the man would not help her to get into her room. She sat in the hallway for over a half hour waiting and he never came, so she walked to the front desk (I was there to make a complaint) and she told him she wanted her money back if he wasn't going to help her get into her room. He called the police stating she was making a disturbance and he wanted her removed from the property. I then changed my mind about complaining out of fear he might call the police on me as well. This was such a terrible experience. I cannot believe how horrible this hotel treated customers and how dirty it was. The front desk man was so rude and sarcastic to my dad and I. I flew my father to Nashville to celebrate his 74th birthday. This pretty much ruined his brithday.
