In Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park just south of the area’s southern boundary, spot the impressive World War II Memorial, which consists of a large polished granite globe surrounded by pillars bearing information about how people from Tennessee contributed to war efforts. Find Germantown between Salemtown, Buena Vista and the western bank of the Cumberland River in northern Nashville. Walk north from the city centre for about 30 minutes to reach the heart of this zone or travel by bus to one of its stops. While you’re in the area, visit adjacent districts including the East Bank and North Nashville.
Germantown is small in size, but great in history and heritage.
