The location of the property was the only saving grace; it is right next to the Port of the Islands Marina and accessible to a couple of really wonderful tours. Also a midway point (~50 miles) between Naples and Shark Valley.
We were hugely disappointed in the state of the accommodations we were assigned. The room was clean, but run down, mattresses and pillows sagging and old, and broken blinds on the door. No windows that one could open, or let in natural light. We checked in just before 5pm so that there was no one to ask about a room change or even a couple of sachets of coffee. We expected something different because of the word, "resort" but that's on us. Also, the only restaurant on the property was closed due to COVID.
To be fair, this is the only accommodation for miles and most units are occupied by long-term snowbirds. People we ran into on the property were really pleasant.
