Oceanfront in South Nags Head! Unbeatable views and private hot tub!

We can't all "live in a yellow submarine" all of the time but you can vacation in one. This yellow submarine isn't IN the ocean but you can't stay much closer! Panoramic views of the Atlantic, a full-sized hot-tub and plenty of room for the entire family. Yellow Submarine features fabulous living on the ocean-side deck. Enjoy your morning coffee, meals or an evening cocktail while you watch your family, friends and maybe even some dolphins at play.
The location in South Nags Head is arguably the best on the Outer Banks for a family vacation. It is a totally low-density residential area that is enveloped by the Hatteras National Seashore yet is only minutes from all of the shopping and recreation that you need. Families will find the quiet, low-traffic non-commercial atmosphere relaxing, but you will appreciate how easy it is to drive to the grocery store, restaurants, the movie theater, or a putt-putt course. The large multi-use path that parallels Old Oregon Inlet Road for its 4.5 mile length is great for running, biking, or walking. For the avid angler, Oregon Inlet Fishing Center is just a couple of miles south of Yellow Submarine along the gorgeous beaches of the undeveloped Pea Island National Wildlife Refuge. The fishing center has boat ramps and a full-service marina. Yellow Submarine is the perfect spot for your next beach vacation: peaceful and out-of-the-way living just a short trip from all of the activities and services the Outer Banks has to offer!

Yellow Submarine

Location! Location! Location! The kitchen is well stocked with utensils and appliances. It was fairly clean. The pillows need to be replaced or cleaned because they were stained from previous users. The refrigerator was obviously secondhand.

Better than the pictures!

We had a great family week at the Yellow Submarine (which is no longer yellow). Great location, super comfortable, lots to like! Significant upgrades from the online pictures- really appreciated the new couch for example. One weird thing- depending on the winds you might wind up with a constant “howl” from the front porch- think the new siding might have something to do with it! And remember to bring linens and all your towels (kitchen, bath, beach, hot tub)

Can’t beat the view!

What’s the point of going to the beach if you aren’t right on the beach?! I wanted to be right on the beach and this cottage made that happen…I’ll be back!

Phenomenal Ocean View

Once we washed all the windows, the views from inside were great!! The brand new deck was wonderful to sit on. The house itself has many small upgrades that are needed. The location was worth overlooking the flaws.
