About this property

New Beginnings: Fisherman's Paradise | Boat Dock

  • Reconnect with nature and embrace your inner angler at New Beginnings, a unique waterfront home in Old Nags Head Cove that's truly a fisherman's paradise. Ideal for boat owners and groups that intend to be out on the water, New Beginnings is situated right on a fully bulkheaded canal. Tie up your watercraft right behind the house using the private dock equipped with electricity and water (3 hose connection options). Along with a fish cleaning station, grill and a 7 cubic ft. ice chest on the ground level, you'll have everything you need to catch and prepare your own seafood dinners!

When you arrive, use the community boat ramp (for a nominal fee) to put your vessel or jet skis in the water and dock them right behind the house. From there, easily navigate to the Roanoke Sound for exceptional saltwater fishing, water sports, or a sunset cruise with views that span across multiple OBX islands. Oregon Inlet is only 13 miles from the house.

Recent updates include LVP flooring on the main level, stainless steel appliances in the kitchen and a newly rebuilt deck that overlooks the canal and includes an outdoor dining set for al fresco meals. Vaulted ceilings and abundant natural light make the open-concept great room feel bright and airy. Upstairs, the generously sized loft is practically a second living room, perfect for a kid's hangout space or a cozy den for reading. The primary bedroom includes a king bed and access to a private waterfront deck where you can lounge in the sun.

In addition to the canals and boat-friendly amenities, guests also have the option of purchasing daily or weekly passes to the Old Nags Head Cove soundfront pool. Other community perks include a basketball court, volleyball court and picnic area. Walk or bike down the multi-use path that runs from Old Nags Head Cove to the Outer Banks Mall where you can browse an array of shopping and dining options, including two grocery stores. Also nearby are two public beach accesses at Enterprise Street and another at Loggerhead Street, both of which provide parking.

Bringing a boat or other watercraft? Let us know at the time of booking and we'll have a $20 gift certificate to Food Lion or TW's Bait & Tackle (your choice!) ready for you to pick up from our office when you arrive. Guests can also redeem this offer by renting a boat or booking a charter during their stay through Outer Banks Outdoor Ventures. Limited to one gift certificate per booking.

No pets allowed. No smoking/vaping. Optional access to community pool and boat ramp for small fee.

Short Stay

We stayed here for four days and three nights. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the house. The kitchen had all the necessities for cooking basic meals. There's even a steamer pot if you wanted to try your hand at a boil. The cool breezes off the nearby sound made sitting on the porches, or tossing cornhole under the house, an absolute joy in the evenings. We would definitely stay here again.
