If you are a foreigner that speaks English almost every sign I saw was translated. The amenities were on every floor and were quite convenient. There is an Izakaya on the property that serves a complimentary mixed sashimi dish if you show a room key. The atmosphere of the hotel was very pleasant. As we do not drive a car we did a lot of walking and took local transportation whenever possible. If you happen to stay here there are some local attractions such as Pineapple park and Fruitsland which I recommend for the kids (we enjoyed it as well). Most of what we experienced was by walking. The hotel is pretty close to the beach and the view is stunning. We did a lot of exploring by foot and found ourselves at old town Nago which led us to discover many hidden treasures. This was a trip we will not forget. The location was convenient for traveling throughout the island and there was easy access to restaurants and groceries/amenities nearby. One of the highlights of staying here is that across the street is a beautiful park with the most stunning beach. It was wonderful to be able to wake up in the morning and walk across the street for a a swim. Another highlight of this hotel is the well stocked amenities available on each floor (ironing board, robes, slippers, toothbrushes) as well as the laundry service. Also, there is a lovely little cat who hangs out in the parking lot to welcome visitors in and out. It was self service, but that seems to be the norm for budget hotels in Japan these days. The door seemed like it was made of cardboard, and the walls paper thin, including the exterior wall. Could hear people talking in the parking lot as if they were standing beside you, and I was on the 4th floor. Could hear the wind outside, and worst of all the traffic.
