The best area to stay in Nagga, Marrakech, for most travellers is the Medina, particularly around the Jemaa el-Fna square and the souks. The Medina is the historic heart of Marrakech, a walled city filled with narrow, winding alleyways, traditional riads, and bustling markets. Jemaa el-Fna is the main square, a UNESCO World Heritage site that comes alive with street performers, storytellers, and food stalls, especially in the evenings. The souks, or traditional markets, branch off from the square, offering everything from spices and leather goods to lamps and textiles.Couples looking for a romantic and culturally rich experience will find the Medina ideal. Staying in a traditional riad, often tucked away down a quiet alley, provides a private oasis from the city's hustle and bustle. You'll be within walking distance of attractions like the Bahia Palace and the Koutoubia Mosque, and evenings can be spent exploring the square or enjoying a rooftop dinner with views over the city. For those who prefer a more modern setting with easier access by car, the Hivernage district is an excellent alternative. This area is more spacious, with wider streets, contemporary hotels, and a selection of restaurants and cafes.

The best times to visit Nagga are during the spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) months. These periods offer the most pleasant weather, with warm days and mild evenings, making it ideal for exploring the city's outdoor attractions without the intense heat of summer or the cooler temperatures of winter. You'll find it comfortable for walking through the souks and visiting historical sites. For couples looking for a romantic getaway, spring is particularly lovely when the city's gardens are in full bloom, such as the Majorelle Garden. The evenings are superb for dining al fresco on a rooftop terrace.Solo travellers might prefer the autumn, when the weather is equally agreeable, but the summer crowds have thinned out, offering a more relaxed experience when navigating the Medina and its many alleyways.
