Great customer service from staff. Food was delicious (dinner and breakfast) and very accommodating on diet restrictions. They provided shuttle from Yudanaka Station and Snow Monkey Park. I would highly recommend them if staying in Nagano. So very helpful and humble people. As a westerner I had always stayed at Marriott properties in Japan and to experience Japanese culture we decided to stay at a Rayokan. The Japanese food was very tasty and very elegantly presented. The Onsen bath was very nice with a wonderful view over the city. Staff is great and so friendly with kids. We had our 3y old with us, tatami rooms and great for families. They had a special kid meal and breakfast every day.
