Since it was a dairy farm, they had fresh cheeses and yogurt. The lodging was in log cabins. The beds were very comfortable. Parking by the rooms was very accessible. The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. I had not realized that not only do you have rooms on either side of you but also on the back as well. So it was very noisy, but I had a portable sound machine, which was helpful. Also, the rooms were all in a small area so when people were out at night, it was very noisy. I Highly recommend eating at the restaurant. We had the best lamb shank and lamb fillet dinner! The staff was extremely friendly, and the dining area was very cozy and comfortable. It was super comfortable, clean and quiet. We had dinner at their restaurant one night and it was fantastic - one of the best meals of our trip so far! You are basically right in lake Myvatn and the rooms are basically in the lava fields of the area. We got to pet the baby and adult cows and ate breakfast while they were being milked which was amazing. The dinner and the breakfast buffet were both delicious. Cows are behind a glass wall but you can visit them whenever you want!
