Definitely not what was expected! Book elsewhere😡
This is the first time that I’ve traveled somewhere and have been VERY DISSATISFIED! Upon arrival we found that the room was not cleaned, the pillows were extremely dirty, dirt was in the bed, and it was not in a condition to stay in comfortably. After going to the registration office I was told they could do nothing about rooms booked through VRBO. They did offer to allow me to rent another room at over $400. After arriving in a different room and same location to check out the room, I found trash leading to the entry way of the room. Flies were swarming around the trash and an awful smell filled the hall. This location could be compared to that of a gym locker room. We then rode around trying to find a new location.
Please do not go by what’s pictured when booking. This image has been apparently edited. The unit pictured during the time of booking looked much nicer and definitely would have been worth the amount of money spent. We drove 8.5 hours and have been unable to rest at this point. I ended up having to find a hotel room that was 8 miles from the area originally booked and pay $647 additional dollars.
I contacted Coastline Rentals and was told that there was nothing that could be done besides me going back to let them clean it. I explained that I never stayed in the room and it was again stayed that it was basically “my loss” at this point.
This was definitely not what I expected and hoped for as my first Myrtle Bech experience.
I hope that they will consider closing this location until all construction is completed. So many other guests were disappointed.😡😢
