The property is on a lake, theres accessibility to swim. We didn’t have a bbq at our cabin. Limited camp fire. We did have outdoor seating with a table. To cook there was a small hot plate (electric stove top) which wasn’t great at cooking. Fridge, kettle, and I believe a microwave. Small bathroom, large bed. TV. The cottage was recently updated but there were some things missed. This cabin style cottage has a beautiful lake view of Brandy Lake that is 7mins to Port Carling and 15min to Bracebridge. Lots of fishing everywhere you can use the resort kayaks to cruise the lake that is included. The owner and the people working for him are, laidback and friendly and willing to help if you need anything. Kayaks are available on small private beach and dock, to take out as you wish. We had a great time, and just 10 minutes from Port Carling! My friend had problems with the no frills rooms. I thought it was very nice with the fire pit right outside and right on the lake. I also appreciated the fact I could messaged directly if I had any questions and they responded quite quickly. The cottage itself was really cute, and clean with a beautiful view! However, I initially booked it having 3 adults and 3 kids, with the possibility of a dog during the stay. It ended up being only 2 adults, and I'm glad it was.
