We are close to many area attractions including Frank Lloyd Wright's Taliesin, House on the Rock, American Players Theater, Wisconsin Dells, and much more! Activities include canoeing, kayaking, hunting, fishing and shopping in quaint villages, visiting local wineries or just relaxing watching the river... Our cabin is easy to get to and close to area villages. We watched the beautiful Wisconsin river while sitting in the screened porch. We spent time, into the night, sitting around the backyard fire pit. The cabin is beautifully rustic, just as we wanted to celebrate my husband's birthday. Everything we needed, and more, was available in the cabin, including some local award winning cheese Sandy left for us. The exposed wood throughout gave it that true cabin feel. The loft rooms did have a low ceiling height, but the beds were very comfortable and clean. Staying right on the Wisconsin river was a bonus. I enjoyed sipping coffee on the porch and listening to the wind chimes. The lot overlooks the Wisconsin River. Shaded front porch runs the length of the house. Between that and the trees along the riverbank, you have shade all day long if you want, or walk out in the sun for a while. The hosts were very helpful with everything, including finding places where I can do all my favorite vacation activities. Had a great time! The only problem was tearing myself away from the beautiful property to go and see the area. I will definitely return. One of my top 3 vacation spots ever. The cabin had all the amenities we needed for the 2 of us. We went out to eat one night and grilled at the property the next.
