This home features a fully equipped kitchen complete with a microwave and dishwasher, as well as a washer and dryer, central heating and air conditioning, ceiling fans, and hardwood and luxury vinyl tile flooring throughout. Four TVs (cable, a 40-inch Vizio flat-screen in the living area) and Wi-Fi are also provided. Sleeping accommodations include one king, one queen, and two twin-sized beds. The outdoor living space features a private 12-by-24-foot saltwater filtration swimming pool, furnished private porches with rocking chairs on the front and seating for six on the back deck, an outside shower, a charcoal grill, a fenced backyard, and parking for three vehicles. Dog friendly. Limit: two dogs. Maximum weight limit: 70 pounds for one dog, 50 pounds per dog for two dogs. Please see the dog-friendly property agreement for details. No smoking. Conveniently located close to some of the best area attractions, Garden City Beach is directly south of Surfside Beach and ends on a peninsula at the mouth of Murrells Inlet. One of the most renowned attractions in Garden City Beach is the Pier at Garden City. Other points of interest include Marlin Quay Marina and its surrounding restaurants, such as Sara J's Seafood Restaurant, Gulfstream Café, and Original Sam's Corner. Just south of Garden City Beach is Murrells Inlet, a seaside community considered the "Seafood Capital of South Carolina" and home to some of the nation's best golf courses. Reviewer Comments: My daughter, her boyfriend, both in their senior year of high school and I all enjoyed our week stay at South Winds #2!! Our 2-1⁄2 year old male Golden Retriever “Dunkin” had the time of his life in the pool! The entry to the pool was perfect because he could just get in and out whenever he wanted and we could just sit back and relax! Definitely something I enjoyed! This time of year is usually not the warmest, so we unfortunately were unable to get in the water. A heated pool would have been a huge bonus. The yard was adequate and private, which was great. The master bedroom and the closet were a nice size, the bathroom is somewhat small and the extra rooms were good size, but had a small bathroom and closets. The water pressure was awesome and the water was hot! Garden City Realty handled any of our concerns we had when checking in, so hats off to them! Some minor things to consider: The front porch and backyard furniture were not cleaned and seemed like it had been awhile since they had been. The rockers on the front porch are adorable (totally my style), but unfortunately are not comfortable to sit in. The master bedroom had a flag pole outside of the window hanging at the edge of the front porch which had metal rings holding it on which clanked all night long. This made it difficult to have the windows open in order to hear the ocean breeze and at times made it hard to sleep. The pool area only had a few lounge chairs, it would have been nice to have enough for the number of guests the house can accommodate. Kitchen could use some tupperware bowls with lids to put leftovers in to eat later. Overall, we would recommend staying at South Winds #2\. Especially if you fur babies:). We have vacationed at Garden CIty many times and enjoy all the restaurants and visiting the beach, the pier, all the little shops, and venturing off to. Broadway at the Beach. The beach, shopping, the pier, the arcade & restaurants!! It is the best pet friendly vacation rental we have ever stayed in!! Thank you for sharing your lovely home with our family!! We only had one tiny issue....thanks to a very rainy day, the pool got mud & sand in it & their were these little ant like bugs with wings that covered the entire pool!! One quick call to the realty company & it was sparkling clean within the hour!! We were so thankful!! There was a sweet little mama dove who built a nest on the front porch & her sweet babies somehow fell out of their nest, our fur baby alerted us to the babies & after googling what to do, we had the nest & babies back with their mama!! The next morning the sweet mama bird was nestled on her babies & looked completely content!!The neighborhood is quiet & the neighbors are very nice. A lot of the homes are being renovated but there was no excessive noise nor trucks in the area.We will definitely be booking for next year & several of our friends have asked for the rental info so they can also vacation at this perfect home!!Thank you again!! ##### Melissa K. Reviewer Comments: This was our second year escaping winter in PA by staying in Garden City in February and March, and the first time at this house. The home was very clean and in a good location, short walk to the beach entrances. It would have been great to have a heated pool! The fenced yard was wonderful to allow our dog time off leash. The kitchen lacked a few amenities since we cooked there often. Garden City rental was responsive as usual by bringing us a crock pot and baking sheets. They owners really need some new pans, most did not sit flat on the smooth cooktop. It was wonderful to have a recliner and great outdoor furniture. We would have loved to rebook for next year but a 63% rental increase made that impossible for us. It would be a great summer rental since it has a very nice pool and the rear deck was an excellent plus. Outdoor maintenance was very good. So I vacuumed and mopped the floors I just can’t believe it was cleaned before we got there. There was dog hair on both porches and in the pool area. But we cleaned it and had a great vacation.
