This home features an open floor plan (living, dining, kitchen combination) with a fully-equipped kitchen complete with granite counters, microwave and dishwasher, washer, dryer, central heat and air conditioning, and ceiling fans. Three flat screen TVs (cable), DVD Player, and Wi-Fi are also provided. Sleeping accommodations include two queen and four double-sized beds. The outdoor living space features two covered porches (oceanfront porch furnished with rocking chairs), sundeck, two outdoor showers, and ample parking (some covered). No pets. No smoking. Maximum occupancy: 12 The images and tours are provided to show the property's layout. Items, including furniture, décor, accessories, and bedding, may not be an exact representation. Conveniently located close to some of the best area attractions, Garden City Beach is directly south of Surfside Beach and ends on a peninsula at the mouth of Murrells Inlet. One of the most renowned attractions in Garden City Beach is the Pier at Garden City. Other points of interest include Marlin Quay Marina and restaurants Sara J's Seafood Restaurant, Gulfstream Café, and Original Sam's Corner. Just south of Garden City Beach is Murrells Inlet, a seaside community considered the "Seafood Capital of South Carolina" and home to some of the nation's best golf courses. Once primarily a fishing village, the town is best known for the Murrells Inlet MarshWalk, a half-mile-long boardwalk overlooking a pristine salt marsh, and the many award-winning restaurants along Highway 17 Business in the central business district. We had to buy some sharp knives the 2nd day just to be able to cut tomatoes & limes without cutting ourselves. Not a big deal but often overlooked by owners. Also note that the kitchen chairs are weighted such that they fell over when someone got up on several occasions. Lower deck was large and great for morning coffee. Reviewer Comments: We love this place. It's older, and some would say dated, but comfortable, clean, and roomy. It's very peaceful in that area in October. We mentioned the poor condition of the window blinds last year and sure enough they were all new this year. If anything we would appreciate firmer mattresses on the main floor. The owners obviously care about the home. We are grateful it survived the storm. We hope to stay there again.MANY THANKS to PAM MCCAULEY at Garden City Realty! She stayed in touch after Hurricane Ian and called us as soon as the house was cleared for rental. This is our third experience with her and we have come to regard her as a friend. It's nice to have a familiar voice and face when it comes time to plan our beach vacation. Reviewer Comments: On my third day at the home, 2 cockroaches were found inside the home alive. A call was made to Garden City Realty multiple times and no one returned my calls. I had to go to the Office and express my concerns with employees there were condescending and told me it was just a Palmetto bug. This is very insulting to me due to me knowing that a Palmetto bug is just another name for the American Cockroach. Also these cockroaches can infest homes unlike what I was told. My concern was them being brought back to my home then me having to pay a fee to rid them from my residence. Very rude and condescending, hope all paying customers aren’t told the same thing. Reviewer Comments: House was clean upon arrival. Linens being part of the package was a huge plus! Not having to pack linens saves lots of room. Bathroom updates would be a plus with a walk in shower instead of having to step over into tubs with shower doors. Overall a great time with family. A stick vacuum would also be a plus - broom was available but it’s hard to keep sand swept up - much easier to vacuum. Besides, we go for the beach, not the decor. Only 3 of us and always stay in condos. Really loved being in a house this time.
