Business or pleasure?
The cabin was immaculate and well appointed. The owner is responsive and very easy to communicate with. The neighborhood is private. It is a very warm and inviting cabin. It's easy to see why there are so many five star reviews. This rental would appeal to anyone who loves the quiet. Listen to the creek, watch the deer or enjoy a book by the fire pit. We had business in Blairsville and this location was within 30 minutes and very convenient for us. We had family in Murphy and they were only 10 minutes away. The drive to this cabin is level. Close to many things! Would definitely recommend this property!! Many thanks to all, including the owner and anyone taking care of this cabin. You can tell it is well cared for. Very refreshing. Fantastic job.

Cozy cabin
Very clean and cozy! This cabin was the perfect getaway to relax, we enjoyed the creek and the fire pit. The host was super responsive and made sure all directions were clear. We would love to come back here again!

Serenity at its Finest!
This home was wonderful! Everything was clean, organized, and I cannot think of one single thing we needed during our stay that wasn’t already there! Our family played in the creek, hiked, and went on many adventures. I honestly have never been to a place that was this peaceful. Within a short drive we’re checked out several cute towns. The Permisson Creek Trout Pond was awesome! We also visited several nearby parks where the kids swam. I’m not sure which I enjoyed more, spending time with my family, or relaxing at the beginning and ending of each day listening to the creek!

Sparkling clean and fully stocked cabin with creek!
Wonderful cabin nestled in the woods with 20 minute access to stores. Dave’s place was sparkling clean with extra linens and towels, plenty of dishes for large family, fire pit with wood, and nice little stream just a few yards from the cabin. Thank you for letting us enjoy your little slice of heaven in the woods.

Relaxing Cabin in the Woods
We truly enjoyed our stay at Persimmon Creek Cabin. The cabin was clean, comfortable and in the perfect spot for relaxing. Listening to the creek, watching a doe and her two fawns who came to visit us in the morning and enjoying the woods was the best medicine for us after surviving Hurricane Ian. We didn't want to leave! We will definitely go back!

What a treat!
This home is beautiful! On a whim, we chose a mountain vacation in a mountain retreat. The Persimmon Creek Cabin is just as advertised. The home was spotless and well-appointed. Dave — the host — thought of everything! The bed and the furniture are so comfortable you may not want to leave the cabin but then you'd miss the babbling creek right off the deck, the wooded property, and the cozy fire pit. After long days of hiking and exploring in the area, the home welcomes you back and helps you rest up for the next day's adventures. We would stay here again and highly recommend it to others.

A True Getaway
If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life, this is the place to go. Nature at your front door step. A beautiful live creek right by the home. Two Adirondack chairs to sit in and absorb the creek and nature together. House is well taken care of. Lights are all marked so you don’t have to figure out what lights what. The property manager, Dave, was most helpful. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

First Family Vacay
We had a nice relaxing time. The boys enjoyed looking for rocks in the creek and just spending time together as a family. Dave was readily available had we encountered any issues, but we had none. Would gladly stay again.

Property and cabin as described. Cute and clean! Creek was amazing. We didn’t venture out too much, but cabin is in a great location for lots of adventures. Did drive up to Bald River Falls that was a great trip.

Loved this property that is obviously kept with great pride. Very clean. Although we did not cook there, we saw they thought of everything one might need. Comfortable bed and great pillows. We also did not use the campfire but sat peacefully on the day of arrival and saw that it was well equipped and ready for use. The constant soothing sound of the creek made it to where we did not want to stay inside too long before going back out on to the deck or the hammock, given the perfect weather in the 70's. Great choice all around.

Great peaceful getaway!
Home was clean, extremely well-equipped, and so comfortable! Host was so accommodating and available. Place is perfect for a quiet getaway, but close enough to town to visit. Creek is soothing, fire pit is great! Can’t say enough positives! This is our second visit & we look forward to our next!

Thanksgiving getaway
We have rented many cabins in the area over the past few years and this by far made us feel the most at home.The home was spotless upon arrival,beds very comfortable and well stocked for all your cooking needs.Loved exploring the trails and the peace and quiet of the property.In the cool evenings it was an added plus to use the fireplace and such a nice ambiance.I would recommend this cabin to anyone staying in the Murphy area.

Perfect creekside mountain cabin
This cabin was the perfect location, tucked away on a beautiful wooded lot overlooking a clear babbling creek. We saw deer drinking from the stream, turtles, crayfish, newts and blossoming flowers everywhere.

Great communication and socially distanced cabin
We booked last minute for a much needed but isolated getaway. Dave is so quick to respond and make sure we know the rules of the house upfront. The creek is lovely to be so close to. The kids loved playing near it and the front space of the property has a nice little field to run around on, play frisbee and toss a ball back and forth. It was also nice to walk along the wooded trails. We were treated to a massive metamorphosis of cicadas during our stay. The kids thought it was awesome. The property is green and lush with bushes and trees. This is further out west in the state than we usually stay and it's on us to not realize there isn't a Tesla charging station close by so if you do drive a Tesla to the neighborhood keep that in mind. Dave was very understanding when we let him know we needed to charge the battery from his outside outlet. We were thankful we could've we were almost down to nothing when we rolled into the driveway coming from the Raleigh area. We bought an extension cord at Walmart before making it to the cabin. We didn't tour the area so I can't speak to the town itself but the cabin was a nice and private getaway.

Both the king and queen mattresses and pillows have been replaced and are new as of November 2021 (medium firmness). Additionally we always provide six different pillow firmness choices on each bed with the intent to suit all different style of sleepers.

Mountain cabin filled with peace and tranquility
A great place to kick back and enjoy nature. A lovely cabin setting in amongst the mountains with a rippling stream. It is totally furnished with anything and everything you would need, just bring your food. The fireplace added atmosphere, as you cozy up on the couch or chair. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there. A little Piece of Heaven
The cabin was very easy to find. Great location sitting right next to a creek. Our visit was in the winter so we were not able to sit outside. However, it was still very relaxing and peaceful which is exactly what we were looking for. The cabin is older but has been well maintained. And it was extremely clean and that means a lot to us. We would definitely love to come back again.

Great location. Comfy cabin on a nice creek. Was a little surprised at the required cleaning requirement upon checkout. Never had to vacuum and start a load of wash before leaving. Even though there were several cameras surrounding the cabin, we felt a little uncomfortable leaving the key in the lockbox as the instructions said to do. Lots to do in the location.

Glad your family enjoyed the time here! We only suggest leaving the key in the lockbox because some previous guests have locked the key inside thereby locking themselves out. The code is changed often and soon we intend to install an electronic bluetooth lock will allow a unique code for each guest. Exterior cameras are only turned "on" during extended periods of vacancy otherwise this is a very safe community.
