A beautiful, well-appointed, villa. The host, Marina, was wonderful; so friendly and helpful. The villa was spotlessly clean and in a very quiet area. Please note that there is only air conditioning in the (two) upstairs bedrooms and not in the two downstairs. All other facilities were excellent. We really enjoyed our stay and would like to thank Marina for her hospitality.
The house is a beautiful old Italian house with high ceilings with wooden beams and tiled floors. Everything in the house worked pedfectly- wifi, hot water, screens on the windows, kitchen and bath. The house is set in the midst of the Tuscan hills with hikes starting right from the front door. The grounds in the nature preserve are lovely with local plantings. The hostess, Marina, was welcoming, helpful, and altogether delightful. The gravel access road is steep and curvy in places. We were glad to have a manual transmission and went up it in first gear. It's a lovely escape in the country.

Real toscan house in a remote area
Marina is a good host, friendly and helpful.
The rooms upstairs have an airco, but unfortunately the bedrooms downstairs don’t.
It is an original tuscan house, so the kitchen is small and not so practical but has all the amenities. Outside bbq is great.
The swimmingpool is a minute walk and has great views.
To get to the house it is via a track which is very steep and therefore a 4x4 will be advised. Showing the remoteness of this property.
This is a place were you can really get away from anything but doesn’t have all the amenities to be fully selfcontained. Therefore making it less suitable for (young) families.
This property is several kilometers up a gravel road from Murlo, Italy. The road is okay but we got a little concerned after it had been raining for a while.
The property is remote and near several hiking paths. It is great for people who want to get out and hike around the hills of Italy. The gardens are really nice. We would have spent more time outside if the weather had cooperated more. We went in the fall so it was getting a little cooler up in the hills. There was a nice fireplace that heated the water for the radiators.
The owner was really sweet and even put our laundry out on the line when it was done so we could go out and explore instead of waiting for laundry.
While I really loved the property, we did have an issue with the water heater which made for pretty cold showers. The owner did her best to have someone come fix it, but it still did not work after the repair man was there. I have faith that she will get this fixed.
We have never had a better rental experience. The host is lovely and the house is a gem. It was perfect for our family and a great home base to explore Tuscany.
The property is remote and peaceful with a lovely garden. We enjoyed the fireplace… very cozy in the fall. As noted by other guests, the road is primitive but we did not have any problems with access. A short commute to Montalcino for wine tasting.
Authentic Tuscany farmhouse was charming, location is ideal and approximately 1 hr to most hilltop towns by car.The host, marina, was absolutely wonderful and made our stay delightful. She offered fantastic advise for local grocers, wineries and towns to visit.
We very much enjoyed our stay at this stunningly beautiful property. The pool was an added bonus! We also felt very well looked after and the communication was excellent.
We had a wonderful, wonderful experience at this beautiful villa. Marina was a delight from beginning to end and met our every need. The location is great to explore southern Tuscany and we even ventured to Pisa from here. So many amazing things to see in the area and then you can come back to this o wonderful spot to chill, cook,, and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of peaceful Tuscany.
Beautiful and dreamy Tuscan villa owned by an unforgettable lady who gave us a true Italian experience and made us feel part of her family. Very private location at the end of the road with views of the hilltop town of Montalcino in the distance. Our 13 year old daughter made memories with Marina that she will carry with her for the rest of her life. We hope to return soon. This was the best part of our entire Italian vacation.
Marina’s place is just what we were looking for. A quiet oasis tucked away on the edge of a nature preserve but a short drive from everything we wanted to visit (Siena, Montalcino, Chianti region, etc.)
The place itself is spacious, spotlessly clean, and has everything you could need. Both the indoor and outdoor spaces are picturesque, especially the view from the pool!
Marina is a kind and generous host, communication and arrival were easy, and she checked in with us regularly to make sure we had everything we needed.
Highly recommend, we would love to return again!
This was a perfect mid-trip vacation to our Rome/Florence/Venice adventure. The stone house is charming and located in a little compound with other buildings but only one full-time resident. Marina is the most gracious and helpful host. Very charming and attentive. The pool was wonderful and there are little kitties that visit you in the charming sitting areas around the property. We explored surrounding villages in our car, and even went to the beach at Grosseto one day. The beds were also very comfortable! Thank you for a great stay, Marina!
Marina is so kind! She met, greeted, guided, suggested, referred and even made a fire in the fireplace for us. I can't say enough regarding her hospitality.
The location is just remote enough to provide (what I imagine) is a proper Tuscan Farmhouse Experience. It is just remote enough to give you the feeling of a truly unique experience while being central to many Tuscan attractions. The particular proximity to Montalcino and neighboring vineyards sealed it for us. Our only regret was not being able to stay longer!

Disliked: Location, listing accuracy
Unfavorable value for money.
Difficult road. Far from the shops. Mainly dark and poorly lit apartment, very hot in summer. Car wrecks and crumbling walls in the immediate vicinity. Property swimming pool away from the house. Ineffective fencing for dogs.
