"Extremely comfortable home with a great sense of history. I booked for four days to take my four adult children and my teenage grandson away to celebrate a birthday. We enjoyed some lovely walks and explored the castle and church. In the evenings we played board games in the cosy sitting room and the formal dining room made mealtimes special. "On arrival we were greeted with a warm welcome, shown to our lovely Shepherds Hut, it was clean and tidy, nothing was too much trouble for us. The pub was so welcoming, and the food was just amazing, good home cooked food! Overall we had a lovely, peaceful weekend with our collies, lots of walks and fresh air, good food and wonderful accommodation. We would definitely recommend and will most definitely stay there again."
