  • Upstairs 1 bedroom apartment located just a couple of blocks from the Pictured Rocks cruises and Munising's lower Harbor.  Located in the heart of downtown Munising. Bedroom 1 has a queen bed.  Livingroom with a futon. Above the Whiskey Dicks Bar and less than a block from numerous coffee shops and restaurants. Full kitchen with all pots, pans, dishes, coffee maker, toaster, microwave, oven/stove, refrigerator and freezer. Full bathroom with a shower unit.  The perfect home base for all things Munising and Pictured Rocks Related

This apartment is located well for those wanting to visit Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. The description notes that it's located above a bar, and it's important to note that this bar has live music on many Fridays and Saturdays and that the bedroom window is located above the part of the alley where patrons go to smoke. However, the fans in the bedroom and living room we loud enough that none of this noise was an issue for our group. The stairs up to the apartment are a little steep (the front stairs are better than the back stairs).The apartment was a little used-looking but clean and had all the basics. There was a dishwasher, but it was taped shut and unusable. The refrigerator had an in-door dispenser for water and ice, but it didn't appear to be hooked up to the water supply. There was ice in an ice cube tray in the freezer, though. The shower was a little small, which wasn't a problem for me but was a little tight for my spouse. The sofa bed in the living area was comfortable, but the blinds in that room aren't blackout blinds. My college-age kid who traveled with us had no trouble sleeping through the light, but if you're a light sleeper and want to sleep past 4am in the summer, you might want to wear a sleep mask. Communication with the owner was mostly prompt, although we got two confirmations, one for this property and one for a property we weren't staying at. It wasn't a problem, but it was confusing/concerning.Street parking was very easy.
