"The first room we were given had a strong odour of smoke so the receptionist kindly gave us a nearby room immediately. We were also provided with the use of towelling robes when asked. The receptionist also kindly arranged a taxi pick up for us the following morning. We were disturbed by a number of animals in our room, including a large hornet and mosquitos, as the window had been left open before our arrival and we were unaware of this as the window was behind the curtain and the net was not pulled down. Parking was plentiful and free. We had breakfast on both mornings and were satisfied with the freshness and variety on offer. We also had dinner in the restaurant Friday evening and sat in the bar area which had a lovely atmosphere and good cocktails. Overall a pleasant stay."

"Very helpful staff in checking in and with any queries we had during our stay. We had one of the suites. A very quirky decorated room and hotel which all adds to the experience. Very central in Groningen, everything in walking distance."

"It was a delightful stay. The hotel had a classic Dutch feel and an old fashioned style that I liked. The room was good , not enormous but a good size. It was quiet at night ( unlike Amsterdam city centre) I waoud highly recommend the Martini hotel"

"Chose this hotel for a one night stopover largely because it had a pool and after 6 hours driving (shared) being able to relax and have a swim sounded like a good idea. Booked a Lux room which was a relatively new addition to the hotel and it was really lovely great shower room and very spacious with a small outside space. The pool was one of the nicest hotel pools good size and nice relaxed pool loungers. We had one issue being woken at 7.30 by someone with an industrial floor cleaner doing the corridor outside our room. Housekeeping really need to rethink that"
Lovingly renovated farm worker's house

"Wir haben 6 Tage mit Hund und Kind im Lütje huus verbracht. Das Haus und der Garten waren sauber und ordentlich. Gastgeber war freundlich, sogar zusätzliche Geschirrtücher wurden auf unsere Nachfrage hin nachgereicht. Der Garten ist von einer Hecke umgeben und angenehm uneinsichtig. Ein schöner, großer Sonnenschirm spendet nötigen Schatten auf der Terrasse. Auch fand ich toll, dass im Haus ein Staubsauger und Besen vorhanden war, denn gerade mit Hund ist es ganz angenehm, wenn man zwischendurch die Haare vom Boden entfernen kann. Das Haus ist toll verwinkelt und angenehm ruhig gelegen. Einzige kleine Kritikpunkte: Mein großer Ehemann musste an einigen Stellen den Kopf einziehen. Auch das WLAN war etwas inkonsistent, aber Internet-Probleme hat man in der Gegend immer mal wieder stellenweise. Ideal für etwas Bildschirmzeit-Detox. Im Bad wären ein paar mehr Abstellmöglichkeiten toll. Und bei etwas schwereren Menschen knarzt das Bett recht laut beim Drehen."
