This hotel is in a great location, right near the markets and old town. Breakfast was the best we had on the entire trip. They have parking available but be sure to make a reservation. The drain in my shower was clogged, causing water to run out into the bathroom and room. Maintenance person was rather rude and short tempered, but front desk /reception staff were apologetic and helpful.

Hotel Schlicker was a very nice property for our stay in Munich. Close to Marienplatz, which is where the transportation is, making it easy to take trips within or outside of the city. Staff was very pleasant and always greeted us when we walked in. Breakfast was also very plentiful for the European breakfast. I would stay here again on my next visit to Munich and would recommend the same for anybody else.

Excellent Hotel in fantastic location for sightseeing around Munich. Rooms were very clean with tea/coffee facilities. Great selection at breakfast. It is a bit noisy, because it is so central, but much of that was from the church bells which I’d guess you can hear within a 2 mile radius in any case and we didn’t mind!

Breakfast is very good, with a lot of options. waitresses at the restaurant are super nice, helpful with smiling faces. our room 502 was tight. we asked for 1 queen bed, but there were 2 single beds next to each other, with 2 small covers. heating system at the room was not efficient. it will be an added value if windows are isolating the sound, as its very noisy in the evening with all those people coming out of bars around especially Thursday and Friday night. Reception staff are nice and very welcoming.

However, there are also some aspects you didn't like, particularly regarding room comfort and noise isolation.We recomend to reserve a room to the court yard next time, wich are bigger and quiet. In any case we finaly got the permission to replace the windows in the front part of the building. So, we are about to solve the sond issue this week. Awlful. Tried to scam us for $1,500 for a stain my children did not do. They said it was curry or Asian food which my kids do not eat ever! The rugs were stained, the chairs were stained, the hallways were stained. The shower door fell off. The toilet paper cover kept falling off. One shower would not drain. The towel warmer was broken. The owner tried to get us to give a credit card if they couldn’t clean it to replace rug. Meanwhile there were other stains they never fixed. But I bet they collected money from other guests. So disappointed. Ruin our last day and night in Munich. The only positive part was the breakfast and the server there was very sweet and provided great service. DO NOT stay here!!!

The property is a bit outdated and my room specifically had a very musty smell. Members of the staff also entered my room on two separate occasions with only a knock, both of which I was unclothed in the bathroom, in the mere 2 nights I spent at the hotel.

The property has an excellent location for almost anything you want to do. Only thing to change would be to elaborate more on parking and alternative parking options if you are driving in. Public transportation is easy if you don’t drive in. I would definitely stay here again.

Great Location
Hotel was nice and was a last minute booking for us as we just stuck in Munich for an extra night. The staff was accommodating and the hotel was very clean. The breakfast was delicious and had many options. Our room was on the small side, but we had a great view and the location could not have been better, just a few steps from the main square.

Friendly check in. Rooms are small, but extremely efficient. Bathrooms are modern and well thought out. Extremely clean and very quiet for being in such a central location. Would highly recommend.

This was the first time we stayed at this hotel for the Christmas Market. Everything was wonderful.... the rooms, staff, breakfast in the morning. It is so convenient to shopping and the best restaurants. The Marienplatz is just steps away. Everything about the hotel was wonderful and we will definitely return.

Good location to marienplatz. Parking was expensive because the hotel didnt have any or provide any if theirs was full. 33 euros was too much for one night. McDonalds restaurant right next door and many people stood outside and were loud and noisy for hours.

Fantastic location! Easy walk from Marienplatz S-bahn with lots of dining & shopping nearby. I felt safe here & room was quiet. Staff were friendly & welcoming, although I arrived behind a large group & it took awhile to get checked in. Hotel was charmingly decorated for the holidays & breakfast was lovely. Great value!

This hotel is in the perfect location in Old Town. Close to just about every sight to see and also the subway. We had a wonderful time. The breakfast was delicious and fresh every morning. Great Find!
This hotel is in the perfect location...just 3 minute walk from Marienplatz. The hotel staff are very accommodating, the breakfast is good, and the room was large as well as the bathroom. The only slight downside is the noise from the bells that start ringing at 7am and continue on to 9pm. This is of course not the hotel's fault but quite a charming feature that can help cure your jet lag. The terrace was closed (November) but we found that it really does not have a view to anything. We would stay here again.

Absolutely perfect location right in Marienplatz with walking distance to all the sites. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice breakfast. Rooms are OK but small. Nothing special. Just a place to catch some rest. Carpets in rooms and hallways could use a deep cleaning or replacement. There were a lot of stains. This would drastically improve the overall rating of the hotel. I did not receive the morning wakeup call that I had asked for. Fortunately I was up and didn't miss my flight.

The parking for this hotel is hard to find. Ended up stopping in front of the hotel and the nice gentlemen at the front desk had to get in our car and give directions on how to get there

It’s a very nice hotel and is centrally located. It’s literally just a stone throw away from Marienplatz. Breakfast is also very good and the staff are wonderful!

I stay at this resort so I could be close to the Hofbrau House. Parking was an option but extremely tight spaces. Secondly you have to leave your keys at the front desk because they pack the cars in so tightly they have to move them when necessary. Did include a buffet breakfast with lots to choose from. Room was clean and small and old decor. I guess they’re leaving it the old traditional German look. Slow elevator, staff wasn’t the most friendly. If manager can watch videos to see that each time I approached the counters the staff never smile. The morning of check out 3 ladies were at the front desk and as I walked up none of them greeted me. They all just looked at me. I had to say hello. Sheesh. Lastly which made my experience less than desirable was at 330 - 4am sanitation workers or something of that nature was BLASTING and woke me up. Kept me up for 2hrs when I finally went back to sleep. I do understand the city needs to do what they do. I was going to ask the manager for a discount for the bad experience but after receiving the poor reception at the front desk I just wanted to check out and leave as I was exhausted. Otherwise, it was in a cool area of town and again I mainly wanted to say I was at the Hofbrau House during Oktoberfest which was crazy wild inside.

Dear Kevin,first of all we're happy that you had such a great time in the Hofbrau House.Regarding the parking, we have to ask for the keys of every car. Based on rules and regulations from the fire department, the police and the insurance company, we always need to have 100% control of the parking lot, especially as we have cars standing in second row. About the elevator, was it slow moving up and down or was it the waiting time at the floors? We're sorry about the experience with the sanitation workers in the morning, but we have no control over that.You still should have told one of the two ladies or the guy at the front desk that you would like to talk with me. I would have been happy to help solve the situation.Best regards

The hotel is the second oldest in Munich. The location is outstanding as it is centrally located and walking distance to many attractions and shopping. The staff are very pleasant and helpful, and the breakfast was excellent.
