Great hotel. Front desk was super informative and courteous..tried to answer all travel questions. Went out if their way to find a fan for us to make sleeping great. Close to marienplatz and the train station. However, expedia did not cancel a reservation as requested in 45 min conversation 2 weeks prior to trip. I didnt need the stress.

We had a great stay at arthotel. The room(s) were clean, the decor is great and the breakfast had great selection. The staff was very helpful in recommending restaurants and assisting with our travel needs. Would definitely recommend.

Cool and Quirky Hotel in Munich

Posted 20-Feb-2018
Pros: Location and the included breakfast!
Cons: If I had to pick one thing, I'd suggest providing 2 pillows instead of one, per bed.
Location: The hotel is about a 5 minute walk from the Munich train station. There were bus and tram stops within a block as well as numerous restaurants.
We wanted to find a nice hotel close to central Munich which included breakfast, knowing that it would save on trip costs to eat a hearty meal before heading out on our adventures, and Arthotel Munich fit the bill PERFECTLY! After the 40 minute train ride from the airport to the Hauptbahnhof, having the hotel only a quick 5 minute walk away was awesome! Every staff person we encountered (front desk, housekeeping, and wait staff in the breakfast room) were always pleasant and greeted us warmly. The rooms were very comfortable, you may want to ask for extra pillows, with very fine finishes in the sleeping area as well as the bathroom. The towel warmers were lovely and made the bathroom nice and toasty. You could not ask for a better breakfast - this is not just a few pastries, fruit, and coffee. A few days we were so full from such a hearty breakfast, we didn't even eat lunch! The ATM in the lobby was also very handy for grabbing a few Euros before heading out on adventures. Would not think twice about staying at Arthotel Munich again, we absolutely would recommend them to anyone traveling to Munich!

Good hotel, close to central station. Premier Inn is value for money and much the same. The price difference is staying somewhere that is a bit more quirky.

Good value, decent location, very big room

Posted 26-Jan-2018
Pros: Spacious room. Location. Artwork in the halls and room.
Cons: Wider spots in the parking garage and at the least, a bit of warning from hotel staff about how tight the garage is.
Stayed one night in mid January 2018. It's a 15 to 20 minute walk to Marienplaz, and very close to the main train station, the Hauptbahnhof. The price was right and the location seemed good. We were glad we stayed there. My son and I shared a room with two twin beds in the annex -- a short walk from the reception area, and convenient to the breakfast room as it turned out. The room was very spacious. It has a stove and fridge, not that we used those. Very, very quiet. Breakfast was great. Nice selection of meats, pastries, bread, cheese etc. Beware the parking garage. Unless you're driving a very small car, you'll find it very hard to maneuver. I managed to pull into a spot with a Kuga (small Escape-size SUV) but in the morning, a car occupied the previously empty space across from me and it took 15 minutes to finally extricate ourselves. Scout it before you commit. Parking is 15 euros. There seemed to plenty of 2-hour spots on the street, free after 11 p.m. The statues and paintings throughout the property make it funky, and fun. The lobby bar seemed like a nice scene in the evening, though we had other plans. It's also an easy walk to the Augustiner-Keller.

Good location close to train station

Pros: They gave us some treats for our inconveniences and apologized, which was nice. But I don’t like having to go to front desk 5 times
Buffet was ok, bar was fine. Housekeeping was lousy, floors were filthy, and we had to complain, 4 times out of 8 days we had to go to lobby to get coffee for morning, the last day they told us to comeback later they didn’t have any. They made us feel like we were the problem.
