Changed rooms due to excessive noise of the outside air-conditioning only to get a room which took your breathe away by the heat of the hot water pipe running through the room. Baring in mind it was still very hot outside. It's the first time we've slept in a room which was on par with a sauna. Not at all pleasant or comfortable. Told by reception they couldn't put the water pipe off as it supplied hot water for the other rooms. Very disappointed the room we had. All other parts of the hotel were almost irrelevant. Reluctance to return to room after breakfast.

Bed was lumpy, room was hot.
Great having Netflix though.
Bathroom had a bad smell, sink doesn't drain very well, bath had stains, grout could do with cleaning. Beside sink cabinet has an old bottle caked in cobwebs, obviously not cleaned in a long while.
Food was lovely.

This is an excellent hotel. The staff are so welcoming friendly and polite. It is extremely clean and well maintained. Rooms are spacious and beds are comfortable. Food is excellent. We will definitely be back.

"The property is dated, and the facilities in the room are not of a great standard. I was in a top floor room on a very hot day, no air con, no fan and the window was prevented form owning more than an inch (I understand as there was a large drop on the other side). But the room should not be bookable ..."
