"I’ve stayed at Mandalay Bay several times over the years, and unfortunately the experience has changed significantly — and not for the better. What used to feel like a premium resort with great included amenities now feels like everything comes with an extra charge.
Basic items like in-room coffee are no longer complimentary, which is disappointing for a hotel at this price point. The Shark Reef exhibit, which used to be included or reasonably priced, is now around $45 per person. Even the pool experience has changed dramatically — umbrellas and comfortable seating are no longer readily available unless you’re willing to spend a minimum of $250 for a daybed or reserved area just to sit in the Las Vegas heat.
Overall, it feels like the hotel is nickel-and-diming guests for things that were once standard. While the property itself is still nice, the added fees take away from the overall value and experience."
