"The resort was beautiful. Big, grand feel. Beautiful mountain views from restaurants and rooms. Nicely landscaped. In a nice mountain neighborhood with old homes with character. Several restaurants. The breakfast buffet was the best I've had and well worth the $35. Every bite was delicious. The pool and hot tubs in the spa could only be used by spa guests and guests that paid $200 per day to use them. There was another outdoor pool, but it was so far away, I couldn't even see it from the hotel. The concierge suggested taking a shuttle to the pool. At these nightly prices, a pool and hot tub for all guests is expected. The guest room walls were paper thin in the Sammons annex. I could hear conversations next door and could even hear someone hiccuping, so you felt as though you couldn't talk about anything private (or do anything else) because your neighbor would hear every word."

"The staff from the valets to reception were wonderful, polite, attentive, and professional. The room was large comfortable and the views, beautiful and memorable. Location was key to our stay and convenient for our needs. The internet was spotty and privacy of the bathroom in the room was not preferred but overall clean and comfortable. We would stay at this hotel again."

"Absolutely wonderful! We loved our hilltop view, the fresh air, and the complimentary coffee in the morning. Our room was pristine and the staff were exceptional. The property is gorgeous, quiet, and peaceful. Downtown is easily accessible while still feeling removed (which is ideal for us). We were surprised firewood wasn’t included with the room, but it was worth the extra fee. And breakfast options are limited in my opinion, so we opted to eat downtown instead on our second day there."

"Marie is absolutely amazing and it was such a pleasure to stay at this cabin. My boyfriend and I went hiking and explored Downtown Asheville, and didn’t find it difficult to get around. We enjoyed the grill and spending some time on the porch, and we even got a visit from Marie’s goats a couple of times! I would absolutely recommend staying here to anyone wanting to get some fresh air and explore the Smoky Mountains and Blue Ridge."
