Lovely cottage very well equipped with the essentials and conveniences of a retreat. It was a shame to discover that that house was located on a major truck route. While the days were full of exploration, the nights were disrupted by a convoy of trucks between 2am and 6am, then sporadically during early afternoon and mornings. The location was ideal! We got to experience scenic world, the antique shops in Katoomba, the local shops in Mount Victoria, the beautiful Botanic Gardens and all of the amazing walks and look outs. Joanne is a great host who communicates very clearly. My husband and I, along with our 4month old baby and 3 YO dog, stayed at the cottage for two nights. The quant cottage is comfortable and well set up. A beautiful claw foot bathtub and the fireplace add to its charm. Unfortunately the much talked of fire pit was full of charred firewood and water. There is a semi trailer movement every 2 minutes 24 hours a day we had to leave a day early as no sleep was possible. We were to stay 4 days there was only enough fire wood for 1 day. We tried to rectify it but in the end we ended up buying our own they also left on half a roll of toilet paper for 4 days.
