You can easily walk to dinner at the "Great" Post House, Gala Cafe & Bakery, wine bar and other charming shops. The interior is pleasant with large windows, ceiling fans and comfortable beds. But, the whole place needs a fresh coat of paint and some much needed deep cleaning of the bathroom and floors. Bathroom was especially mildewed and needed cleaning. Also, although the location shows Royall, it’s actually up a very narrow alley behind someone else’s house. The property is a little tough to find because it sits behind another house so it isn’t visible from the street if it’s getting dark, but don’t let that stop you from booking or sour the initial experience! This house had everything we needed to enjoy 4.5 days in Charleston. We had our 10 month old with us and the property was great for a mobile infant. It was clean and well planned, just the right amount of space, had kitchen basics and some extras, loved having laundry on site, and the shower was spacious and had great hot water! The king bed was also REALLY COMFORTABLE! This place offers a great landing pad for anything near mount pleasant and old village. It is 3 minutes from Shem Creek in a car or golf cart, walking distance to post house inn, a playground area and multiple coffee shops.
