This quiet neighborhood is ideal for a leisurely walk or bike ride, and no matter which direction you head, you’ll find yourself drawn toward sandy beaches, winding marsh creeks, incredible restaurants, or the iconic Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge—offering stunning views and a fantastic pedestrian crossing experience. Nestled in the neighborhood known as the Old Village, you’ll also find The Old Bridge (Pitt Street Bridge), which once connected Sullivan’s Island to Mount Pleasant during the Civil War era. Today, it has been transformed into a beautiful park surrounded by the Intracoastal Waterway—perfect for fishing, crabbing, shrimping, or simply watching the sun set over Charleston from one of the benches. We didn't end up cooking any meals but the kitchen seemed to have the essentials. There was plenty of hot water so that was a big plus.Some of the sheets could be replaced, there were a couple stains on the fitted sheets. I contacted the property manager about a hole in one of the bedroom walls when we checked in, just to have record it was there when we got there. The outside lights were not working. The hot and cold water facets were reversed in kitchen and first bathroom. Never got the big shower head to work. Beds were unmade.
